internet FC on superclean 2.8

Hello Everyone,

I am having a hell of a time using superclean (2.8). As i posted in another thread, it took about 10 times to flash with odin for it to take. All was good, but now...the internet force crashes. It vibrates once, then three times in a row and drops to the home screen. I can go to google, and do a google search, it shows the sites, but when it starts to load it crashes. It will however let me go to websites already in my bookmarks. i am at my wits end. please help!!

i went into clockwork and cleared my cache. that didnt help..

Holy Crap! There are so many ways to do this and so many versions of software, I've been reading for hours and one thread says do this, another do that. The point of entry is very grey.

I have a Fascinate with very few apps on it, only update was a few weeks ago which did nothing that I can see, except break my ability to use the usb to allow my car stereo to play the MP3's on the mem card.

I've followed a number of the threads, but they start at different points and it is still not clear what is the final version of each of the pieces I might need to get the latest version on my phone that is reasonably stable.

Sorry these are such lame questions, but which steps apply to such an original state fascinate to get it all the way up to current? What is the latest version of the pieces I should try to download and install?

Anyone?

CBMC- I set it to open something but it didn't do it either before restarting LP or after. I did discover that there are more dock spaces available, though. I guess I never swiped the dock beford to know that.

Excellent job Adrynalyne, 2.8 loaded up perfectly the first time. Oh yeah, and it looks good too. I like the SC 2.8 in the notification bar as well.

Thanks for all the hard work and I am looking forward to the next versions. No pressure though. ;-)

Is there any way I could get the malware protection for 2.6? I loaded 2.8 yesterday, and after fixing bstats it was destroying my battery. I guess 2.8 just doesn't play well with my phone...

the most up to date version is SC 2.8. I used the all in one package on droidxcons page for the first time. If you follow the step by step instructions he laid out on his first 3 posts on his thread, you will have no problem.

I was having the same problem with the soft keys not lighting up when you press the power button. I booted into recovery and cleared the cache. Then rebooted, and now the lights come on after I unlock the phone.

Seems like that fixed the problem!!!

I installed the updated non voodoo kernel and now it's stuck in bootup mode. Will try to installed the old kernel and will let you know what happens.

Yep..went back to the old kernel, but lost my apps and data. Glad I did a titanium backup.

Updated to from 2.6nv to 2.8nv through red clockwork without any issues as always (thank you good sir). Everything seems good, but I went into "About phone" and noticed the kernel is still 2.6.32.9 so I'm guessing it's not yet EB16 and this is what some of the latest discussion is about?
