Start off from here, there are new methods of doing things but there is alot of info here so you start to get the hang of things.

i think if you use these resources to learn you will be ready to flash roms

This sounds AWSOME and i defenitly want to do it... but i dont know how... can anyone pease post how to get this into my phone (step by step).. it woyuld be greatly apreciated and btw this would be the first thing i do to my phone aside from rooting DL09... ohh... and whats aosp and CM when it talks about the apps already in the phone?.. yess i am defenitly a noobie at this

If im running DL09 stock right now, all i need is the ROM correct? dont have to worry about a kernel or a modem flash?

This is of course after flashing CWM via Odin and making a backup of everything. Just wanna make sure i dont need anything extra.

Hey folks, first post here, any old blackberry users probably recognize my user name from theme building for the old berries - BUT I've taking the leap and aint looking back!!! now, i searched, looked, scrounged, and maybe i am missing something. The supah clean rom i downloaded on page 1 is a zip file. Am i to install this via cwm from my sd card, i flashed the first dlo9 rom from Adrenalyne via Odin, but it was a tar file, what am i missing???

Roms are installed via clockwork, yes.

Yeah, are you sure you have clockwork flashed from odin?

if so apply the rom zip file to your SD card and from clockwork recovery you can install zip from SD card

flashed it with cwm, then as i was looking for it in the app drawer, all of sudden the boot animation came up. weird. no samsung logo first, just straight to the bootanim. and it took it's sweet time before finishing loading everything.

but then after it came up Voice Commands was there and i tried a few commands and they seemed to work fine. the Search voice command makes it FC; maybe its tied to Bing?

did another reboot, which was normal, then tried Voice Commands again - CRASH, again, the instant reboot into bootanim with the slow recovery.

like before, Voice Commands worked fine again. did a power shutdown, then started up, and it crashed before it finished the media card scan.

doin a restore now to go back to a point before the flash.

im running DL09 Blackhole 3.0 and your nv12/30 kernel from [RELEASE] DL09 rom, kernel, radio - xda-developers

I am running supah clean .4 so I will give it a shot and report back

Thanks so much adrynalyne! A clean rom with voice commands has evaded me for a long time. Not any more.

Would it be safe to say that any of JT's or your variations of the clean rom would be safe to add this in the future?

Ytaay I cannot vouch for what sonofskywalker3 has done to his roms, so I really wouldn't know where to start

understood. i kinda figured that. im gonna flash your supahclean rom and kernel later this weekend and then try nuance again and see whats what. i'll let y'all know what happens.

Just for my own pleasure, installed rom, 1230 non voodoo kernel, di01 modem and what little i have tested, running smooth and clear. Installed your nuance but haven't tried it yet. Installed the og swype, works fine so far. so my only question is WHERE DO I FIND THE SWEET BOOT ANIMATIONS I KEEP HEARING SO MUCH ABOUT!! You really don't have to answer, i will actually look around. Anyway, Thanks for all your hard work - may not be hard to you, but i know how much time goes into learning how to do ALL of this, and it is a lot of work!!

Yes I'd say that would be safe. Once Froyo comes, that may change of course.
