got the update and i just got the car mount.. and I realize that Verizon bing the hell of the car mount mode and pushed there crape navigation into it and wont let us choose google navigation. dose any one know how to change it. you know its like Verizon try's to piss us off. when i had my droid i really liked the navigation on it. Is there a rom that change the car mount mode that makes it more droad like or just better? because on the car mode you cant put on music yes cars do have radios but what if your LIKE ...o I dont no.....DRIVING! and there is no radio station that you like or what if you cant get reception were you are..

I replaced the car dock with one that does not use bing.

Im not really smart in rooting but, does getting rid of bloat just make more space, or does it help the phone run faster

Is Anyone else having problems with push services in widgets, for instance I have the plume widget and it doesn't want to update on its own.

I am also having a problem with "Fancy Widget", my clock widget with weather, the time stops updating some times. Like right now the time on the phone is 12:41 and the widget says 12:05.

Hi all. Im basically a newb but am dying to try this ROM for a couple of reasons

I just re-rooted my SF by flashing this file:

Clockworkmod installation how to for windows / *nix - xda-developers

which from what it seems contains a kernel that knocked out my vibe and BT

I definitely need these features. If I flash JTs ROM will the first kernel that got flashed be overwritten and most importantly will the vibe and BT come back?

For some reason whenever I try to install any rom on my fascinate during the install process it says;
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted

And on the top of the screen it says to reboot system, apply update.zip and wipe data and cache.

I have done all of that and I still get that error message. I tried redownloaded the update.zip and it still doesn't work.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

You have to use clockwork recovery. Recovery 2e is not usable for us.

After installing this rom my widgets like battery watcher and noled no longer update automatically. They did when I did dl09 full update but not now. Anyone know what I need to do to get this working again?

Hi guys,

So I was able to root my phone with DL09, and I was also able to install clockworks and Root Manager, I backed up my info and current ROM, I've also downloaded the new ROM zip file copied and pasted on the rook of my SD card, but when I try install the ROM file from Rom manager it keeps telling me that the ZIP file is 'bad', I tried it twice and got the same result so I am not sure what I'm doing wrong, I appreciate all the help!

So, I am running DL05 currently. I downloaded the new SuperClean DL09 zip file.

What to do now, just need the steps in order.

So I want to install Super Clean, but is there anywhere that has a full walkthrough complete from backing up to rooting to flashing? I appreciate all the hard work done by the developers, and I would like to test it out. I'm just scared going into it because I don't want to lose any information or brick the phone (if that's possible).

Also, once the ROM is flashed in, is it necessary to change the kernel? There doesn't seem to be a one-stop glossary for all this stuff @_@

Please look at the Stickies at the top of the threads. The install process is the same for the most part. Install modem, install Supah clean .4. If you have DJ05 on the phone now you did the exact same process when you loaded DJ05 over DI01.

I was running stock DL09. I rooted last night, flashed clockworkmod, did a backup, then loaded the rom via recovery mode off my SD card, after it went through its process my phone rebooted and showed the samsung logo then nothing else would happen, just a black screen. I let it sit for a while and got nothing, tried cycling power a few times but the same. after a battery pull and the same thing i loaded it back to stock DL09 via Odin.

Im pretty sure i missed a step somewhere but im not sure where, so just wondering if in my process i needed to add any other steps.

Read the sticky about installing CWM. You have to to use Odin in order to use the app you downloaded. 2e is the stock recovery. Clockwork recovery is the recovery you need to load roms, etc.

If you installed the full DL09, you don't need to do the modem again. Just load the Supuh clean .4 rom and you should be good. Maybe your DL of the file was not good. Try again.

I think i will give it another go tonight. with a brand new download of the ROM.

I've tried every which way i can think of to install the swype files posted, but always just end up with swype force close errors.

edit- Remembered skywalker has swype listed in rom manager, tried that and it worked perfectly.

Just thought I'd say that with this ROM, USB mass storage is working on Mac (at least for me).
