Landshark, tks for the nonstop support and info. I've been foraging thru this post for a while an you are everywhere man! I hope you got your phone back up and running.

I went from DJ05 w/Voodoo to EB01 SC2.2 no-voodoo. I want to get back to voodoo. Is there anything special i need to do going from 2.2 n/v to 2.4 voodoo or if this is not recommended, is there a EB01 voodoo kernel-only flash i can use after bumping to 2.4 n/v?

Thanks again...everyone!

diggz,
Sorry I didn't resond sooner. Thanks, I got my phone back up and running. Just a soft brick. If you want to find out about going back to voodoo, Gunnermike53 has created a thread with evrything you need to know. Here it is and good luck:

How do you get the color launcher that Adrynalyne shows in the screenshots on the first page? Is this a voodoo-only thing? I'm running sc 2.4nv.

So far everything works great on this SC2.4 EXCEPT i'm having some weird issue with Google Sync service. Basically it's locking up my phone. Whenever the sync symbol pops up (indicating that it's syncing with google servers I assume) my phone just becomes really slow and eventually locks itself up. I've pinpointed it to the Calendar sync I believe, because that seems to be the one that lingers.

music works through my car dock, but should phone as well? sound doesnt come through speakers. i dont have bluetooth in my car.

EB01 is a build AND a baseband. Your build is the ROM you are running. So you did flash an EB01 build through cwm. But your baseband or modem/radio is still DL09 which is Eclair (Android Operating System 2.1) You need to have an EB01 modem which is Froyo (Android OS 2.2) Flash this throgh ODIN and all will be well. That's probably why your long press search is not working.

eb01modem.tar

EDIT - Ooops, disregard the comment about the long press of the search button. that was someone else. After you flash the EB01 modem we will get you on the new red cwm

Thanks a lot for posting instructions for flashing the EB01 modem and red CWM! I was having the same problem (DL09 baseband and still using green CWM) and didn't even know it.

A question and an update to a situation that occurred to me after going from stock 2.1 to SC 2.X.

Question(s):

I notice that I have version 6.10 of the wpa_supplicant. I would like ad-hoc mode in my radio. Do I still need to patch; and if so, which patch should I use and what is the best configuration utility for configuring my radio to use ad-hoc after I get the patch?

Bug that seems now resolved.

Long of the short, I had no texting issues with my stock rom. In deciding to pull the trigger on modding my phone, I chose the SC 2.2 through Odin (http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...roms-w-root-new-clockwork-updated-2-15-a.html). All went well, I restored everything and the phone was happy... for the most part.

Bug - When replying to text messages from my wife, she would miss random, if not all of the replies. She would get my message if I initiated, but replies were a no go.

I found this in SC 2.2, so I flashed to 2.3, but never had any text messaging, and opted for 2.4 (rom only) update and the issue seemed to still be there.

Workaround/fix?

It was suggested that I throttle back down to DI01 stock, send and reply to messages to see how well it worked. And it did. Then update to full SC 2.4.

As of 9:35 this morning, and only based on testing from last night, my messages are being received whether initiated or replied to by me. I will test some more this morning, but with a 250 msg plan, the msgs lost due to failed msg receipts and the ones used to test even when it works, add up against my 250 plan.

The odd part was the Verizon subtracted those text messages from my 250 total, so I can only guess that something failed when they went to pass through their system to get to her phone.

So, if anyone has an issue like this, consider throttling down to DI01, and then go to your desired EB01 version rom. Yes, it takes some extra time, but in the big scheme of things, it's only a few more minutes when all is said and done.

Hey guys, I wanna back up my current ROM before I start flashing new ones, so I...
1. Go in to ROM Manager
2. Hit backup current ROM
3. Hit new backup name
4. Phone boots in to stock recovery, the I get...
E:failed to seek in /cache/ update.zip (Invalid argument)
E:signature verification failed
Instillation aborted

reflash the EB01 modem with odin. that will probably fix it. if not reflash a kernel.

clear calendar sync cache. if no go, remove and readd accounts.
