You mean DL09? I think used Odin, I'm pretty sure. EB01 is a baseband?

EB01 is a build AND a baseband. Your build is the ROM you are running. So you did flash an EB01 build through cwm. But your baseband or modem/radio is still DL09 which is Eclair (Android Operating System 2.1) You need to have an EB01 modem which is Froyo (Android OS 2.2) Flash this throgh ODIN and all will be well. That's probably why your long press search is not working.

EDIT - Ooops, disregard the comment about the long press of the search button. that was someone else. After you flash the EB01 modem we will get you on the new red cwm

Yeah, I knew all that about DL09 being for Eclair, because I used to have DL01 when I first flashed it and my texting wouldn't work. I wasn't aware that EB01 was even around! Ha, also my long press search works, but I think it's because I installed Voice Search. Alright, to flash through Odin I just use PDA, right? And thanks so much for the download. What will this all do for me?

Yes, use the PDA button. This will give you the EB01 modem which will give you full use and function of your EB01 software

Flashed SC 2.4 and love it so far...a question. I'm using ASOP lock for my lock screen and I noticed 2 things:

1. Is there a way to not have the puzzle unlock when a call comes through?

2. Is there a way to disable the ability to unlock the phone by just pressing on the menu key when the screen is on but locked?

You can try different lock configurations to change the call unlock I believe. I think this was mentioned a few posts back.

My menu key does not unlock the phone. This was removed awhile back I believe. Did you wipe before coming to EB01? I have read that you did not need to but I think there are some cases where it would be wise. I had issues coming from DL30 to EB01 so I wiped. Still have battery issues ...

Your first question was asked on page 109 post #1083 of this thread and answered on page 110 post #1095 of this thread.

I could not find a way to disable that feature. Perhaps someone else may know a way.

I was actually looking for an answer about whether there are now separate red clockworks for voodoo and nonvoodoo or the same new red cwm works on both when I saw the thread :)

What did you find out on this? I went from voodoo to non-voodoo and I have noticed that when I boot into recovery via the power menu, I go to 2e(blue) then I have to load the update.zip. When I had voodoo I did not see 2e.

I also read a thread on xda that seemed to say that the update.zip was not really needed with the new cwr for froyo.

Just wondering. The red cwr I have flashes just fine. I have not had to restore anything recently as I seem to only be upgrading ;)

I just typed the answer to Gunnermike53 over in another thread. It seems if you flash the new red cwr through ODIN by itself it does replace blue recovery (2e). I flashed through ODIN, booted, went to recovery through long press power menu and went straight to red. I deleted update.zip from my sd card, and unfortunately also deleted recovery-update.zip from clockwork also. After I was able to go straight to red cwm, I tried to reboot to recovery from Rom Manager and now my phone is stuck at the Samsung logo for over 5 minutes. Will pull battery and put recovery-update.zip back and try through Rom manager again.

Could you possibly help me out and give me the red CWM .tar? It'd be much appreciated. :)

Sorry. For now just use the update.zip to get the new red cwr. I locked up my phone trying to experiment and I'm trying to get it back up and running. plug your phone into pc with usb cable while phone is in debugging mode. pull notification bar down and hit usb connected. you should get the green droid, hit the connect usb grey bar below him. wait for phone to connect to pc, you should get an auto play window that pops up, choose open folder to view files. download this file to the base of your sd card, which is the first window that opened up with the auto play:

Data wipe is not necessary going from 2.1 to 2.4 because they're of the same build, correct? Cache/Dalvik wipe necessary?

According to Adrynalyne a wipe should not be necessary when going from one ROM to another of the same build. I still do a wipe of cache and dalvik cache just to be safe.

Sounds good. Does that (cache/dalvik wipe) apply to doing a theme change?

Sorry about that Mackay. Here is the .tar file for red cwm. Just flash it through ODIN and you will be able to go directly to red. I'm in the process of trying an expirement with rom manager to get directly to red cwm, so for now if you have ever gone to recovery from rom manager, don't do it until I see if what I'm doing works. With this link you have to right click on it and choose open in new window, then you will get the download pop up so you can save it to your computer.

Landshark, tks for the nonstop support and info. I've been foraging thru this post for a while an you are everywhere man! I hope you got your phone back up and running.

I went from DJ05 w/Voodoo to EB01 SC2.2 no-voodoo. I want to get back to voodoo. Is there anything special i need to do going from 2.2 n/v to 2.4 voodoo or if this is not recommended, is there a EB01 voodoo kernel-only flash i can use after bumping to 2.4 n/v?

Thanks again...everyone!
