I have a strange issue...I've installed red CWM via Odin three times, but every time I flash a new ROM and reboot via power button menu, I'm back to blue CWM and need to reinstall it. What can I do to make it 'stick'?

What build are you on currently, please state the steps you are following to flash

If coming from 2.4v, would wiping data/factory reset, wiping cache partition, and wiping dalvik cache, and installing from zip be good enough or should I clean even more for this?

P.S. I've been running the am/pm removal - this has that built in is that correct - in the settings? Would having it installed be an issue when going to this? Thanks again, adryn!

I'm currently on superclean 2.5 but noticed this issue on 2.4 as well.

Baseband version : S:i500.04 V.EB01
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9
Build number: SCH-I500.EB01

To flash a ROM, I hold down the power button and select 'Recovery' from the menu that pops up. Once I'm in CWM, I select 'install zip from sdcard' -> 'choose zip from sdcard' -> navigate to ROM, confirm the installation, and select 'reboot system now.

To flash CWM, I open Odin on my PC, pull the battery, connect via USB and hold volume down to get the download screen. I then select 'PDA', click the 'PDA' button and select the CWM red .tar. After that, I hit 'Start', and Odin confirms the successful flash.

Regardless of the issue above (and the fact that I've only been running 2.5 for 20 minutes or so), my phone is flying with the new version.

just installed 2.5 via CW red and I only wiped davlik cache before flashing the zip. Had to reinstall theme but everything else is so far so good.

EDIT: Phone is snappier in general I've noticed, but I can't get a GPS lock coming from SC 2.3...will keep trying

I immediately went outside to test gps...yeah seems it slowed down abit
It takes about 20 secs now to lock. Used to be 5 to 10.

I can live with 20 secs

Yep. B&W Theme works.

looks like the eb01 themes work. keep in mind the dialer will be changed and some of the other stuff in the framework-res.apk and the services.jar will get changed back to eb01.

Tried 3 so far, all good to go...removeclock, font flashing, boot ani flash all work

Quick, Easy, and Fast... It is amazing how far the process has come in 5

BTW, the last time I bricked my phone was 2 months ago...hahaha!

I have used Chris3D's little script on SC2.4 and it worked great. Might want to try it out.

So far so good. I am going to lay off themes until a hack or more are built on the 2.5 framework base - Honeycomb is the only one thus far.. That is fast!
