I like the TW calculator as well and I use it quite a bit. I just usually replace the TW one with the AOSP one in the ROM zip before I flash.

If you go into Spare Parts and look at Battery History, you will see if it is not sleeping. My phone typically says - Running 100%. This means it is not sleeping. I have had wifi do the same thing. Wifi could be on 100% but should not be running 100%. My phone is at 13% and I have been running for 7 hours. No calls, no texts, maybe 2-4 e-mails. I did reset battery stats this morning and did *228 1 and 2 for the hell of it. I have a beautiful widgets, buzzbox and a touchdown widget running. I also turned off rotation, wifi and gps to see if that would help. I lost almost 40% in the last 3 hours with no phone usage.
I am really trying not to go back to DL09 but my battery is killing me.
Yeah I was having that problem with earlier sc's. My phone is sleeping then but I'm still losing 10 to 12 % every hour with light/moderate usage. I don't even know if its worse than eclair or not. It probably is. I went back to dl09 but I hated it. Had to come back to froyo. Sounds like yours is a bit worse off tho. Maybe if u have time flash back to dl01 and then charge to 100% and flash SC 2.6 again with a full charge and don't bother wiping batt stats. See how that works..seems like EVERY phone is different with these new builds. I've read all over that kernels play differently with different phones..just sucks we have so few kernels to choose from without the source codes :/

Odd thing is that my phone never really handled UV kernels very well. I always did better with a SV or JT's slightly UV kernels. I have wiped my phone 4 times in the last month which is 4x more than I had to in the past. I went from Stock to DL09 with no problems at all. I have flashed them all too
voodoo is screamin. one of the best roms i have ever run. i get about 12 hrs out of my battery, (i keep my screen on 100%, i figure im not usning the phone for what it can do other wise). i keep my launcher in memory and use hq trans. phone is very snappy.
ok some I am pretty new at this, I am now running the sc2.4 with a nice theme, I must say my phone is amazingly fast and the battery life is great! What I am wondering is it worth is to upgrade to 2.6, what am i gaining from 2.4 really? and what is EB16 whats new from that of EB01
Adrenylyne wante to bring something to your attention per DroidXcon. I am having an intermittant problem with 2.4 .5 .6 SC. What's happening is my phone at different times when text messaging won't allow the screen to timeout it stays on. I grab the phone and hit the sleep button and it flashes a screenshot. In order to get the phone to sleep I have to hit the back softkey and then hit the sleep button and it will sleep....my timeout set at 15 seconds. I have been using DroidXcon's files to flash via odin and this time I figured I would try something different and used his 2.6X file which doesn't wipe. It didn't make any difference its still the same. Its not really that big of a deal considering this phone is miles better than it was prior to me losing my mind and flashing something just about everyday

I am looking at the same thing right now. I flashed the nonvoodoo kernel a couple of hours ago and have noted nothing out of the ordinary..
I do some things with the phone and set it aside... it does not time out at all.. Display time out set at 15 seconds.. It may be on 3-4 minutes before I note it is still on.. Reboot and it seems fine
Just rebooted, and it is sleeping fine.
I have had this issue with my phone off and on since I flashed DL30. Usually a reboot resolves the issue.

If the power button alone is making a screenshot, then "something" is registering as a touch on your back capacitive key. That would inhibit a screen off too.
Could be dirty screen, or a potentially more malicious issue (hardware problems).
Sounds like the same thing I am dealing with. Does yours seem to do it more when its dark where your at? I notice it most when I am texting in bed watching tv and on my laptop. Send a text and toss the phone down on the bed and it sits there with the screen on. Most other times I don't notice it.
When you hit the back softkey it appears nothing happens but IMO the phone is in "screenshot mode" and it takes it out of it. I have only noticed this when test messaging but perhaps it would do it at other times.
Also I am using the samsung keyboard would this matter? Could be a dirty screen but mine is usually fairly clean. Appreciating the help guys!!
Ambient (or lack of) lighting does not seem to be affecting my phone. I usually notice it after I have used a lot of time using touch screen or capacitive buttons. I have never had it happen after a call. - I have always used the Swype keyboard.
I always thought it was Samsung bug or something with hardware... guess I have become accustom to it.
