I noted in XDA that Adrynalyne was wiping the phone (two times) due to CWM using green.

Is this what I am missing when I try to avoid this weird long press power reboot thing?

I have wiped my phone using the option under green recovery and then reloaded the ROM with the issue still present. Flashed the 09 theme fix and it does not address the issue.

Guess I am eager to use this ROM but cannot get past this issue.

Edit: Attempt 5: ~ Fail. Multiple data wipes and factory resets via CWM and standard recovery still the issue of the long-press power reboot persists. Tried several kernels and the correct modem in place. I am beginning to believe that this phone is extraordinarily picky about what it wants to run.

Do you have to be a member of xda to download Swype? I clicked on the link to the page "Update to newer version of Swype - Here ya go.." but for the life of me i do not see a file to download on the page :/

If you go to the last page of that thread it will say that they had to take it down because the beta is open now and you'll just need to go to swype.com and register there and get it directly from them.

I can make packages for folks...the youtube app can be fixed by clearing data, usually. Its kind of a hackjob.

Well I don't know about others but I'd really appreciate having thinkfree office back as I don't really want to spend the $15 to get it again. And while your at it I did really like the stock calculator.

Things like thinkfree office can be reinstalled in rom manager if you go under the sonofskywalker menu.

If you've got rom manager installed start it up and go to download rom->Sonofskywalker3 -> stock apps-> then just scroll down and find thinkfree office and follow any prompts that come up.

you know what , did you replace the Update.zip file , there is a download in the CWM posting

it's supposedly more accurate, but here's what I've noticed:

- word choice window is white instead of black
- keys look clearer, maybe bigger
- added smileys (I think)

The keys got bigger for one thing. Its was easier to use like that. It got better at word prediction. And in the newest beta they added double tap word correction.

FOr those who lost swype this might work. I dont know how this work but I got mine to work. Im on DL09 stock update, rooted, superclean .4, jt 12/30 nonvoo kernal..running on launcher pro. Lost swype, looked in system/app and swype.apk is not there or in system/lib..tried to follow steps from page 1 but since its not in the system, I couldnt.
I dl swype zip from page 5 post 47. Dl directly from phone. Then I install swype zip using rom manager and CWM..choose install from sd, in download folder, let it run..reboot, change keyboard from android to stock keyboard and swype show up..

so I dunno, I didnt have to use root explorer to delete or move anything.

This is exactly what I needed to get the 3G Hotspot back (I know, I'm rooted, I should just use Wireless Tether, but I have my reasons).

I was having this issue last night. Here is what I did. Right after you install cwmrecovery, don't let it boot up. Boot into recovery (blue) apply the sdcard:update.zip, then install the other zip file and lastly install a new kernel. after all of that is done. Then allow it to reboot. Then going forward you will be able to get into CWM.

Ok, big huge thanks to all that help out. I read reread and read some more until I got this.

One thing is not working though then one request.

My Google talk app is not working at all. It opens then closes right away. I really need this for work.

Then the request would be how can I get the dock station app back. I dont want anything else but I use that every night for my alarm clock.

Flashed adryl test kernels 2 And 3. Still no change...someone said he used test 3 and work but still don't work for me..
