Any one else getting really bad battery life,my battery went down 8% in 45 mintues whats going on?

Battery life is definitely different with this build. Flashing ROMs and themes seems to absorb a fairly large percent of battery or we are doing a lot of flashing.

There is a bug that resets the brightness controls on the phone when you pull it away from your ear in mid-call; draining the battery.

I had mine drop off 36% after flashing the new froyo_cwm (less than one minute). I am beginning to wonder if there is a bug with battery monitor or the way that it is used.

Gonna run some battery trials and conditioning over the weekend and see what turns up.

Weird stuff

I updated to DL30 using red CWM, then flashed new green CWM and loaded superclean rom, everything seemed to work ok, but now weird stuff happening? 1) At boot, the 'galaxy s' logo flashes 3 or 4 times before going to the home screen, 2) Some applications don't work, then I get a weird message saying some service has stopped unexpectedly, and I get the force close message, 3) I go to applications, and I can't roll to the next set of aps, 4) phone hangs intermittently, and sometimes comes back to the home screen and sometimes just reboots? 5) My battery life sucks, doesn't even last 12 hours, much much worse then DJ05 or DL30. Any suggestions? I wiped everything before going to DL30, but did not rewipe everything before loading suerclean, could that be it? I like superclean so would like to try to save this...

your problems maybe do to cwm. have you flashed the new new cwm. this ones red. no voodoo support yet. its is supposed to fix the mounting problem. cwm was mounting stuff in the wrong place.

Ok so despite using the new CWM green (as was insisted upon as the only way to do this for 3 days) - now there is a new RED non-voodoo CWM? Reading up it looks like this broke yesterday evening...

So yet ANOTHER total reflash is order? I installed the new red CWM. So I guess, here I go again lol. I keep telling myself "this is the last flash, if it doesn't work I'll go back to DL09 and wait a week or two for EB01".

Then I find another possible culprit and I'm back on the flash-wagon!

Honestly, I think there's a bug or something jacked in a library somewhere... I ran stock DL30 for over 6 hours last night with ZERO lockups or issues. As soon as I went back to a fresh, clean SC 1.0 - the sleep-bug reared it's ugly head again. Not to make an awful pun, but yes - like clockwork! :-[ I am avoiding it now by using "No Lock" from the market - it bypasses the lock screen (love that feature!). But it seems like something in that AOSP lock screen will not play nice with my phone.. whatever I do, as soon as that lock screen becomes the default, the sleep-bug shows up.

Right now, I'm not seeing it (I think due to bypassing the lock screen). I'm up to date on the new Red CWM, so I'm gonna wait a few hours today and see how it behaves. I made a nandroid of a great stock DL30 ROM i set up last night, and it runs like a dream. If this one doesn't hold up, I'll try one more time to flash SC 1.0 with the new CWM and give it go. If THAT doesn't work, I'll deal with some bloat, and missing the cool AOSP apps integrated in SC. I really love the clock, SMS, and dock apps. They totally make the phone!!

yeah, the new red was the one i was talking about.

have you tried the rubiks rom. i like it alot. its very deblaoted. it runs as well as superclean does for me. all the apps you mentioned can be downlaoded from the market except the sms. i use handcent any way, you can make it look just like the sammy sms and it has a cool widget. i am using sc 1.0 because adrynalyne is kinda "our" dev here on android central and i think loyalty is important. thats not to say i wont flash everysingle thing else out there to try them out, and im a flash whore. but if you are haveing trouble, try a different rom. jt's froyo is still prutty buggie. so is balckhole. rubiks is pretty solid. give that one a try. you may also try setting everything up fresh instead of running tb or something like that, in case the backup got messed up.

I also started to run into problems after a few days, I was also using the new green cwm. All the issues i was having went away after flashing the new "cwm_froyo.zip" that JT put out. I flashed it and wiped everything except data/fatory restore and things are running like a champ again. My phone even boots up faster now, before media/card scanner would go through several cycles.

I'm now on the new cwm_froyo (red) and seeing some similar results... Boot is faster, I no longer get the "can't mount mlcpk2.whatever" when I wipe Dalvik Cache.

I also wiped everything but data/factory restore and so far I'm seeing a noted speed improvement and snappier response.

We shall see about the sleep-bug. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Gingerbread & superclean

I can't seem to get jt's gingerbread theme to work with superclean 1.0. Whenever I install that theme with superclean, after reboot my phone is just stuck on the samsung logo and the phone keeps vibrating. Have to do a battery pull and reboot into recovery to change the theme.

I'm going to try flashing the leaked DL30 with the gingerbread theme to see if that works

Hey Mike, I think he flashed the gingerbread for jt's Froyo build and not the one for DL30.. There are two ginger themes out there but only one works with DL30.
