No fix, just restores the stock "samsung" version of the MMS app instead of the AOSP version. People's tastes differ; if you dont like the one out of the box in SC then try the stock one.

Beat me to it. I think the newer versions of the Rom comes with the stock Samsung app if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks again LandShark. That link got me started down the road to recovery. I had a few issues along the way that I figured others might run into so I thought I'd share a couple more links.

After my initial EB01 (SC2.2nv) update via Odin, it turned out that my CWM was still stuck on green. Tried flashing in jt's new red CWM and still had green. For anyone who has this issue (and there were a few here and there) this worked for me:

Delete update.zip in sdcard root as well as recovery-update.zip in clockworkmod dir in sdcard (if you have it). Download the tar file from jt's post here and load via Odin. After reboot, make a copy of the new update.zip file in sdcard root and place in clockworkmod dir. Rename this copy to recovery-update.zip. (It seems to have allowed Rom Manager to install using red CWM for me but some reported intermittent success with this.)

For anyone having issues with any particular component of the EB01 jump (or who have upgraded non-voodoo and now want voodoo) here is a great step-by-step guide for a variety of EB01 install components from root to kernel to rom/mod installs: [EB01 WALKTHROUGHS] Rooting, Clockwork, Voodoo, Stock and Custom ROM, Battery, etc - xda-developers

If you are switching to Voodoo, don't forget to enable voodoo lagfix after the flash. (I was feeling pretty stupid when I finally remembered this step after the 3rd frustrating try)

A couple other helpful things:
This worked amazingly for battery issues

The Nuance package in the OP here fixed my BT voice dialing issues

Sorry for the novel-length post. Much of this was elsewhere in this thread but it's a big thread. Thanks everyone! EB01/SC2.4 Voodoo is a DREAM now!

all of the info in the links you posted can be found in the android central forums.

Heres a newbie question, whats difference between voodoo and nonvoodoo? or which to recommend for a beginner thanks!

What did you find out on this? I went from voodoo to non-voodoo and I have noticed that when I boot into recovery via the power menu, I go to 2e(blue) then I have to load the update.zip. When I had voodoo I did not see 2e.

I also read a thread on xda that seemed to say that the update.zip was not really needed with the new cwr for froyo.

Just wondering. The red cwr I have flashes just fine. I have not had to restore anything recently as I seem to only be upgrading ;)

Could you possibly help me out and give me the red CWM .tar? It'd be much appreciated. :)

Ellisz and Mackay, I found there is only one red cwm and it works with both voodoo and nonvoodoo. I am working on a how-to step by step to set up your phone so you go directly to red cwm when you go into recovery. I did the method I will post and I go directly to red cwm no matter what route I choose. Just want to test out a few things so I have answers to anyone's questions before I post the thread. Stay tuned.

+1 on that comment. Android Central would appreciate not posting links to other sites when the same information is posted here at AC. I can't tell you how many times I have posted the battery method, and Gunnermike53 took the time to research another method and start a thread about it. Thank you.

Anyone else having keyboard issues with this Rom?

I can no longer double space press for keyboard, and the Black Out keyboard has no tactile feedback, has terrible predictive text, and just generally feels crappy. It worked great on DL30

Oh, and the standard android keyboard FC's (com.android ... latin?) since installing the Blackout Keyboard

Anyone?

Edit: Nevermind, fixed. I installed the Froyo one on the XDA site and it cleared up all the issues. Rad.

Infact the layout and almost every bit of that was originally posted here, it was just pieced together.... Don't get me wrong we love and respect the guys over at XDA ,

, but for ease of use best to keep it in house so we can better support you all rather than jumping back and forth

Mine goes directly into Red right now.

reflash the EB01 modem with odin. that will probably fix it. if not reflash a kernel.

But that is already done when I flash the SC 2.4, no? I used odin to flash SC 2.3, then 2.3, then just the rom for 2.4, went back to DI01 with Odin, and then back up to full SC 2.4.

That said, the modem and kernel were flashed a few times, no?

Bad news is that none of my SMS went through to my wife's phone today, nor did she get my replies. So there is an odd issue with texting with these updates, at least for me. Additionally, I can receive text msg's without an issue, but now receiving my initiated txts or my replies to someone else's initiated txts seem to be falling on a deaf phone.

Still thinking that flashing just the modem and/or kernel will solve this issue? If not, I'm open to ideas. I can send the message while sitting in front of her phone, and nada...

Just upgraded from SC2.1 (DXC's Odin for EB01/SC2.1/CWM/ROOT) to SC 2.4 (found in this OP) via CWM... WOW! Ssssnappy! Very responsive, clean, and all around AWESOME!!!!!! Thank you Adrynalyne! You're awesome! :D:D:D

Now to theme! I had bigloof's Midnight/Steel Blue v1.2 and am going back to it! Very cool theme!

love this rom but i would like the stock fascinate music player back. i flashed it twice in two different ways, signed_music.zip and musicplayer.zip but the aosp music player is still installed. how can i get the fascinate music player back?

thats the point of a reflash. sometimes things get dorked up. it sounds like you are having modem crashes. reflashing will fix that most of the time. remember you are using leaked software that was most likely rejected by sammy and vzw. trust me on the reflash thing.

hey guys,
I'm currently running Adrynalyne's dl09 superclean and was wondering if I can flash straight to his eb01 2.4 via odin and have the correct kernals, radios, etc. If not what needs to come between the two roms?
thanks for everything
Kevin

You have a couple of choices. You can download the 2.4 ROM from post #1 of this thread to your sd card, flash the EB01 modem through ODIN, then install the ROM through cwm.
Modem here:

Or you can use DroidXcon's all-in-one and flash it all through ODIN here:
