okay guys success!!!

Coming from 2.6nv w/EB16nv already installed.

1. Did it from red cwm this one:[RECOVERY] Updated ClockworkMod for ALL ROMs - xda-developers. This is the one that bypasses the blue recovery screen.

2. wiped cache and D cache

3. installed 2.7.1all.zip

4. reboot(5min tops)

if you're not already running the EB16 kernels i Would flash that step 3 or right after...def before you reboot.

Done!!! Rebooted at 3:09 pm

I used CWM Red
Wiped twice
Cleared Cache
Cleared Dalvik Cache
Installed 2.7.1 All
Installed Voodoo eb16 kernel
Rebooted

Samsung screen was on for about 30 seconds and then went to the honey comb start up screen for about a minute.

THANKS
Booted up and now going through set up....

Finaly got it to work and stop hanging on the Samsung screen. Had to install cwm_recovery_all, then reboot. From cwm red I then flashed EB16NV, and 2_7_1_all.zip. Reboot and it works like a charm. I don't know if the problem was with the cwm I had installed or if it was a conflict with the kernal I had installed.

I'm thinking it was the CWM you had. There was issues like that yesterday but people that were using cwm_recovery_all had better success. thats why i double checked to make sure thats what I was using.

Did you enable lagfix, because if not, then after setup is done, boot back into RED CW>voodoo>enable lagfix then menu button>reboot. Should hear lady android.

what recovery are you using? does it go through the blue screen first?

try this one:[RECOVERY] Updated ClockworkMod for ALL ROMs - xda-developers

I am using cwm_recovery_all red version 2.5.1.x.

I wiped data/factory reset. then wiped cache, then wiped Dalvik cache then installed the ROM then installed the EB16nonvoodoo kernel then rebooted.

I did it again and now I reboot right back into CWM red.

Any help would be appreciated.

what do you mean you boot right back into CWM red? as in when you go into recovery it goes right to red? or that when you try to turn your phone on it goes to red?

if its when you go into recovery, was it not doing it before and going through the blue screen first?

Yay, 2029 posts. Here is my contribution to this cluster****:

Is the pewpew game app, the version without the crazy chinese characters in the name, one of the infected apps? I installed that yesterday (it was on the "featured apps list" of all places) and now, it shows up as uninstalled. Did google really promote a virus-infested app in the market? Is Android security THAT doomed to failure?

Edit: this gets better. Just a minute ago I looked at the shortcut to pewpew and it was the generic android icon, clicking on it (stupid, yes, but i already ran it so the damage is done) gave me the "this app is not installed" message. Interesting. Open market, and pewpew shows up in the my apps list as "free" instead of "installed"... OK pretty normal for an uninstalled app, except amazingly it wasnt wiped from the face of the market with the fist of an angry god...

Fast forward 5 minutes, and pewpew just got auto-installed and is back on my phone but is gone from the market app.

After I use CWM_Recovery_all to install the ROM and Kernel, if I choose reboot system now from the first screen in red recovery v2.5.1.x or if I pull the battey and power on normally it will just reboot back into red recovery v2.5.1.x. It is stuck in a loop.

odd, dont know what to tell you but I would suggest using odin to flash 2.6. then flash CWM_Recovery_all right after(the 2.6 odin package comes with a different cwm) and then flash 2.7.1 and your kernel again.
