[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

PS, JRummy's Toolbox is the best I have seen a ROM get. Great work Kejar and JRummy.

Ok guys, love this rom! I know everyone hates City ID, but I'm an electronic tech who spends alot of time on-call, and city id is handy cause when a property calls, i prettymuch know what property is calling from the city displayed. I installed the apk as system, with the correct permissions, but it will not display calling city/state. I also do supscribe to this sirvice. it worked great on Apex 1.3.1. Anyone else use it notice problems? Thanks guys!

I reinstalled cityid after switching to Liberty and I too cannot get it to show the city and state of an incoming call. The app works fine otherwise.

Oh, one thing that I have noticed is that the app can't seem to communicate with the server that keeps the subscription data... you can verify this by clicking on the "check subscription status" button (whatever the wording is) in the app. I don't know if that has anything to do with the app not being able to display the city info during an incoming call though.

First issue. Changed Tex drop down. I always use adb commands for this but hey its in the rom so why not. I deleted the Tex of liberty and kept it blank. Hit save and was told to reboot. Did a reboot and it turned on with no service. I rebooted again and liberty Tex was still there.

Just an update:

Editing the text on the pulldown bar didn't work for me until I changed to the Revolution theme.

do you need JRummy's app in order to use the Overclock script? Or, since it's built into the ROM, I assume this means, you can simply use Terminal Emulator? Also, if I use the Overclock script, do I still need SetCPU? I'm trying to find the best way to save on battery life.

Good question. I think everything is included in the toolbox. It is massive, and nice. I don't overclock since I have had this 1Ghz omap. Seems plenty speedy with GJ ROMs for my needs. Maybe someone that does will give you a definitive answer. I am sure you have figured it out already though. I am at 80% after a half day, so battery life seems fair enough?

So you went to it like this  Menu Button>settings>Liberty Settings>Lockscreen Settings >and tick the box that shows use rotary lockscreen.

This also works for gummyjar ROMS.....just insert gummyjar for liberty.

Sorry I should of elaborated, I have went into settings and clicked enable for the rotary lock and music controls but it still is not working. Any Suggestions ?

Just re boot and try again. I have found with ROMS, sometimes a couple of boots help them settle in properly....

Ok is there a way to clear out these custom icons without wiping? I have custom icons from like 3 themes.

Playing with my phone a bit more I just realized for some reason it wont let me have the rotary lock and pattern? Is this the same for everyone else?

Before I flash i would like to know if Z4root still works with this rom or if I will have to root manually?

I was looking through Rom Manager and if Im reading correctly cant I install Liberty from Rom Manager instead of Bootstrap? I will be using Bootstrap...Im just curious.

Also reading the install instructions for Liberty it only mentions wiping the data/cache but nothing about battery stats and delvik. Reading through the forums on here(Android Central) people are talking about wiping the battery stats and I think one person mentioned wiping the delvik. Are wiping those just being cautious and not really necessary?

I guess I might as well ask...how do I flash back to stock when idk lets say Gingerbread gets released

Install bootstrap for the X, RM won't do **** and brick your phone. You need to hijack the recovery. Use astro and install bootstrap from a SD card rest root.....or brick it.
