[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

I was looking through Rom Manager and if Im reading correctly cant I install Liberty from Rom Manager instead of Bootstrap? I will be using Bootstrap...Im just curious.

Also reading the install instructions for Liberty it only mentions wiping the data/cache but nothing about battery stats and delvik. Reading through the forums on here(Android Central) people are talking about wiping the battery stats and I think one person mentioned wiping the delvik. Are wiping those just being cautious and not really necessary?

I guess I might as well ask...how do I flash back to stock when idk lets say Gingerbread gets released

Nandroid right after root, then run TU commands to remove root app...I have them if you are still lost...

Just an update:

Editing the text on the pulldown bar didn't work for me until I changed to the Revolution theme.

Probably because you rebooted then. You have to edit text. Save text. Reboot. Then it will appear.

Is anyone having trouble with, of all things, the twitter app since moving to Liberty? My twitter app seems to stop updating every now and when scrolling back up through the tweets the bounce animation that happens at the top gets stuck. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that did not help.

Am I the only one who wishes there were an option for T9 dialing, from the dialer? I have something like 900 contacts in my DroidX. Want to dial by name. Maybe I'm missing something?

Open the dialer, click over to the contacts tab, hit the search button and then type away!

For longer battery life!

Get rid of the Facebook widget and go Tweetdeck. Turn off auto brightness and just use about 30% brightness. Turn off GPS. Underclock!

Anyone use root explorer yet with this rom? It wont let me write. I click the box and nothing. Did two reboots and still don't work. Not sure if its the rom but its weird. When I'm in system I can't edit anything. Deleted the app and installed again still nothing!

I love this ROM so far only a few concerns that I hope some people can help me with:

1. Gmail won't send my messages. They've been listed as sending on my phone for the past few hours, and I checked on my desktop and they haven't sent and don't appear in my drafts. A reboot didn't help things.

2. Someone else mentioned blur messaging. Using a third-party app like handcent is okay, but I like the stock X messaging app.

3. Blur camera. I think someone else mentioned it too. The stock android one is okay, but the Blur Camera is one thing Motorola actually did well for this phone besides the messaging app.

Blur camera you can get back in liberty tool box under apps.

Come on, now. I tried it on several other themes and after at least a dozen reboots. Revo was the only one that held it.

Well battery life improved from what it was when first installed.
That was my only issue with this rom all else works

Have had Liberty sitting on my SD card for awhile, but haven't flashed it, was waiting for feedback. It appears that sounds like a lot of things people liked with Apex take some work to get on liberty...anyone switch/switching back to apex?

Just flash it. If you don't like it, go back. I was on Apex and I love this ROM. I won't be going back.

clear data and cache in market app. should fix your problem.

delete cache as well, and reload the market and accept terms of market. then reboot your phone. if still have the issue, you might want to consider reloading the rom again.

Is anyone having a problem with text messaging? Sometimes when I select one conversation, it will open up different one.

edit: Fixed it. Turned my phone off then rebooted it while holding my finger across the top part of the screen.
