This rom is a port of a galaxy s4 style rom for the optimus l7.
Original thread can be found HERE

thanks to:
phenomx4 for his CM10 ROM
szyme10 for the l7 ROM

# What works:
Everything in cm10

# What doesn't work:
Anything that doesn't work in cm10

# Changes since first release
  • Fixed Torch
  • Fixed Roaming Indicator off
  • Removed boot to boot loader option
  • Fixed 3g in status bar
  • Removed Weather widget (You can just get in the play store)
  • Removed Yahoo stock and news widgets (flashable zip available)
  • Removed a lot of ringtones and other sounds (flashable zip available)
  • Replaced clock with one from cm10

Important:
After flashing rom and gapps make sure that the phone is NOT plugged into a computer when you first boot up. This for whatever reason eliminates touchwiz crashes.

# Mostly small maintenance style update, if you are already running the rom there is no real reason to update. Mostly I just removed samsung apps, app and push notifications since they don't really do anything on this device.

All files can now be found here

Is there an install guide for roms, well this one specifically? Because when I downloaded it, its not in a rom format. I have met every prerequisite for flashing roms. I guess what i want to know is do i turn all the download files into a rom? Sorry, I'm new to this. Touchwhiz looks awesome though

What do you mean by "not in ROM format?" The files usually get downloaded as .zip files which can be flashed with custom recoveries. I haven't seen any other formats for custom ROMs

oh so i dont extract the file before putting it on my sd card? lol I'm sorry, I'm not too techy. Thanks for your patience

Nope, the Android OS and custom recovery do that for you. Extracting is only needed for stock firmwares since they are downloaded in MD5 format :)

I'm using autoflasher, and when i go to flash the zip file i get some errors on the recovery screen,

E: falied to read footer from /cache/
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted. no valid image in cache.
Check sdcard for GOTA update

Do you have a custom recovery installed? I flash all my ROMs with TWRP, I don't use Goo or ROM manager.
Is flash installer an app?

No, The CWM installer isn't compatible with the optimus elite. and for the rom zip, the autoflasher is an app i got off of the app store.

The original thread on XDA says to use CWM to install it
I'm guessing it has something to do with the app. Have you used it for other ROMs in the past?

Nope first time trying to install a custom OS.

Ah, then it's probably the app. Haven't heard of anyone trying to use this before. Are you sure ClockWork Mod doesn't work for it? Like I said, the original thread from the developer said to use that, so I can't imagine it's not possible to use.

Is there a step-by-step instruction link for something like this? I'm very new to all this as well. No clue how to backup, wipe, root, boot, etc.

There is no one off procedure to flashing ROMs and Custom Recovery's on Android devices. It is device specific, you just need to do research on your device and find easy to follow instructions on how to root you device, then on how to install a custom recovery, then flashing a rom. Those are the 3 basic steps to installing custom OS's. As I said, it is device specific, not one guide will work for all phones.
