Was there ever a resolve for fixing the Sprint Voicemail sms WITHOUT the bubble messaging?
Those who upgraded from 1.2 to 1.5, did you lose any data, contacts, texts, game saves etc... that's the only thing holding me up. I did not back evrything up properly going from dk28 to 1.2ter and lost everything. Just want to make sure I do it right next time so I don't have to spend hours getting my phone set back up.

Make a back up just in case before hand. However the new feature in 1.5 will back up and restore your data, so in theory unless something goes wrong, or there is conflicting data, you should be fine. =)

Ok. I just found out that switching to the touchwiz lockscreen it makes the alarm not appear anymore for me. Wonder if that could change? Not a big deal at all just wondering.
Unfortunately not at this time.
After using v1.5 for a while now, I think this is ready to be installed on my wife's phone. Right now shes using AMLauncher, so I'm wondering if anyone has any success backing up AMLauncher homescreen layout? Right now shes having issues with v1.2 so I want to do a clean install.
UPDATE: So, apparently it is a faux pas to rename backups, my bad... I'm leaving the instructions as is though for reference as to which I used. The reason I know this is because wifi tether caused a reboot and I lost setting again. Possibly because I had to use the task manager to close it.
ORIGINAL:Ok, while realizing this seems to be affecting only a few of us, might want to put it out for them to try. Here are the steps I took and it seems to be functioning properly now, without force closes or reboots:
1.) Recovered to TER1.2, flashed TER1.5
2.) Made backup of known good 1.5 and named TER 1.5 Working (rename not needed, just to help keep the backups straight)
3.) Uninstalled Wifi tether, reinstalled using fix. Got 1 FC, 1 Reboot, then it worked just fine.
4.) Made another backup titled TER 1.5 wifi
5.) Installed TER MT 1.7, tried wifi tether. This is where things reverted back to FC and reboots, even after uninstalling and reinstalling.
6.) Recovered back to TER 1.5 wifi, installed TER MT 1.7
7.) BEFORE opening wifi tether, I uninstalled/reinstalled from fix apk. After 1 FC, and 1 reboot it appears to be working fine.
You can probably skip steps 3-5 if going to Mini Theme 1.7, and 4-7 if not. I did those as troubleshooting measures.
Not sure but it might have something to do with the SU permission request. The times that it FC or rebooted it did not get to the request for SU. After those instances, it appeared to freeze, asked for SU, and worked properly. Maybe someone has a clue as to why it would do this, but for now, I'm making a final recovery titled TER MT 1.7 wifi.
Good luck.
Update: FML... Why are we using this specific version of Wifi Tether again? Is there some reason that makes it just so kick @ss that continuing an endless rollercoaster of dashed dreams is worth it?what are the comparable apps out there? I liked "Wireless Tether"...
Its surprising to hear your having these issues with Wireless Tether and the Mini Theme. Really the Mini Theme should have no effect on the Wireless Tether application. Being that Ragnarokx and I have both had to test things out time and time again I actually only had 2 FC's in the entire testing period from TER v1.5 (beta) all the way up to the TER v1.5 (Clean version).
1st FC, was just a clearing of the cache on email app when I first upgraded from TER v1.2 to TER 1.5 beta.
2nd FC was when I went to install the new Wireless Tether which we now know the fix to that.
I've probably flashed TER 1.5 and the Mini theme somewhere in the range of 30 times maybe more during testing. Not to mention dozens and dozens of my own personal changes and this ROM is virtually bulletproof for the amount of flashing I've done and to only have 2 FC's the whole time.
Now that I've said all that....
You can still keep using the old Wireless Tether that was in TER 1.2.. The new version of Wireless Tether that was put into TER 1.5 supports infrastructure which means you can connect to other devices such as your IPOD or XBOX/PS3 if I understand things correctly. The previous version only support ad hoc which only allowed you to connect your phone to your computer.
Bottom line Ragnarokx was just trying to offer everyone the chance at the latest goodness..
Don't get me wrong, aside from the wifi tether issues it works GREAT! In fact, the wifi thing has been my only real complaint. At some point, possibly tonight, I'll bite the bullet and do a clean install. My biggest aversion has not been the process, that's easy, it's the time to set everything back up.
With those concerns in mind, can I restore backed-up app data using Titanium after doing the clean install. I know it was a big issue for 1.2 but I thought that was more of the ext4 switch. Since all these backups were made using that file system, they should be good right?
Lastly, where are the phoenix pics for the wallpapers located? They are so well done that I'd like to try and get them up on my nook.
As always, thanks very much for a very awesome rom!
