Does anyone have any ideas on why the Display is taking up 90%+ of the battery when I go to the battery use page?

I'll search around a bit more, and just use my phone as normal..

Just set everything up last night, and I noticed it happening then too...
Nothing to be worried about? I just like to check that page a lot.. Perhaps it's broken now?

Super amoled takes more power than other screens to display light colors. Uses less on dark colors but if your on the web its mostly white so your out of luck. Battery life would be realy good if it wasn't 90 to 95 % battery on screen use. And mine is set to lowest brightness all the time

Here's why I'm confused.. I've had my phone unplugged for almost 6 hours, and the display says it has taken 95% of my battery usage... I havn't even had it on for the last hour..

Would there be any reason for the phone to not detect what's using the battery besides the screen? The highest it used to get while I was on 2.1 was mabe 60% with 'normal' usage.. 95% seems ridiculous

That used to be a problem in Eclair as well, but an update fixed it. We'll need a later build of Froyo to correct the screen not sleeping problem.

I'll try TER v1.5 clean 1st, if I need to go back to v1.2 do I need to Odin to 'true stock', or 'stock DK28' and re-root first?

Ok, so I was definitely having 4G issues, can't blame TER, not sure when/how the problems started but when going into *#147852# mode and launching WiMAX DM, I was getting a message about an error loading a driver.

Odin to DI18 got rid of driver error after going back through 1.5 clean then 1.2 provided no relief. I'm presently out of 4G coverage and will need to complete my testing when I get home in a couple hours.

Planning to climb back up the ladder, re-root, TER, and see if I can keep GPS and 4G once I verify 4G is still actually functional in DI18.

Good news is 4G is working again in DI18 after Odin, GPS all good too.

Still need to re-root + TER and I'll track progress on the connection as I go just as soon as I get to a real computer.

Ok, now we're talking, 4G working again after Odin restore to DI18, DK28 via update.zip, OneClickRoot + CWM3 to EXT4, and finally TER 1.5 Clean.

Going to procedurally re-apply TER 1.2 Shutdown Animation, Gingerbread Theme, Bonsai Font, TW Lock Screen, Rhodium Ringtones, Wifi Tether, to see if 4G breaks again.

FYI, camera in stock DK28 doesn't crash in sports mode, I checked while I was visiting.

All you need to do is go to Setting>Accessibility>
Then "tick" the box for Power Button Ends Phone Calls.

If your stopping at TER 1.2 and going threw the "drivethru" check that camera issue out if you could?
I'm running TER 1.2/Mini Theme v1.7 right now and not having any problems with any of the modes.

Having the camera issue here too.
Also, The Weather Channel won't work for me. I have uninstalled several times but still no joy. When I try to launch it I get the following message:

"Please ensure data access..The Weather Channel is aborting.."

Now, I have data access no problem. Getting emails and can surf t'internet.

I haven't read most of the thread but i tried your ROM and it runs very smoothly. There are just some issues, i can't seem to install hancent, and sometimes facebook seems to crash.

Also, the battery life is an issue. I tried NEBULA Rom the battery went down only 30% after an entire day, but TERB goes down about 85-95%. Any advice?

I won't be updating TrulyEpic Rebirth with official Froyo. If official 2.2 does get released soon, I'm going to hang up my chef's hat for the time being. I wouldn't rule out a completely new ROM sometime in the future though.

The original developer, Ahmgsk would once again be in control of the Truly Epic ROM series.

We will still continue to answer and support questions concerning TrulyEpic Rebirth.
