Well this is all fairly new to me. I was having a few quirky problems, so I decided to start over from scratch. Used Odin to go back to stock, then followed the instruction to get back to Trulyepic rebirth v1.2. Flashed back a couple of the zips (stock email, mini theme 1.o, sms bubble, black dialer, blue circle battery, stock dk28 browser, sprint voice mail). I still have my sms messages in my phone call log. Any ideas on how to get rid of them.

Thanks for the quick reply, I deleted my post as it was a window problem. Reboot my box and things worked fine. No problem with the ROM.
I installed truly epic rebirth and im having a problem getting the phone to recognize my jawbone hero bluetooth. any ideas??

I hope my suggestions and advice got you pointed in the correct direction to resolve your issues.A lot of people have problems with bluetooth and Froyo. Fixing it seems to lie in the naming of the device - you'll have to play around with it.

screen rotation

I found tun.ko version "2.6.32.9 mod_unload ARMv7" in this thread on XDA Developers which works for me with VPN Connections. The only problem that I'm having with it is that it isn't using the DNS server at the other end of the VPN connection, so for now I'm having to enter numeric IP addresses.

I've been having odd issues with my Pioneer 3200BT car stereo since rooting. The Stereo will say it's connected- but the phone will show as "paired" but not Connected in the bluetooth settings. Sometimes it works- other times I have to turn off BT on the epic then turn it back on and force a connection despite being on autodiscovery.
PS: anyone else having trouble with this ROMs browser being detected as a desktop computer? Under Menu/Settings/Advanced settings/UA string- there's Android, Desktop, IPhone- but these don't seem to change the websites that I'm browsing from the mobile versions in some cases.

Very happy with this ROM. Makes my iPad feel slow.
Just an FYI.. I had to install the latest email.apk from Google in order to get my work Exchange mail working again. This is because of a bug in the version of the email app included in this ROM and Exchange 2010. E-mail is working now but I still can't accept meeting invites from my phone. Still working on that one.

Samsung Restore done...problem
I added the Samsung App Restore zip and now my Epic is running in touchwiz mode rather than the trulyepic launcher. How do I switch it back?
I tried going into the manange applications section, but I do not see an app labeled "Home" to clear the data within so that the phone will ask me to choose a launcher when I hit the home button.

Download an app from the Market called Home Switcher for Froyo. This will allow you to switch between Launchers and choose which one to be your default launcher.
compass not working!!
ok. my compass or magnometer is jacked. phone cannot tell which direction im facing. gps is quick and fairly accurate. ive flashed back to 2.1 and the issue is still there, so i came back to trulyepic. ive tried to calibrate doing that figure 8 thing too. please help.

This compass issue has been mentioned along with the GPS problems. You can search it all day long on the net. It was discovered days after release and has been somewhat overshadowed by GPS problems.
