[ROM] TrulyEpic Rebirth v1.5 AC - no planned EB13 update :'(

Excellent find friend. I recently did a quick Odin back to stock and back up to TER for some troubleshooting purposes and ended up with the slow screen transistion when switching from portrait to landscape. Did as posted and all fixed. Again, good find.

No problem. I have to do it almost every time I odin back and reflash a rom. Glad it helped

Disregard. Older version.

Just check the Auto Reboot.

So I went ahead without checking "Debug En" box and I am back with the DI18 Eclair Sprint stock ROM.

Unfortunately the WIFI disconnect after sleep/idle is STILL present on the DI18 Eclair. Do I have a hardware issue or what? The WIFI works, it just loses its connection and has to be stopped/started each time the phone sleeps. What do I do from here?

You could take Ragnarokx advice on Juice Defender or always goto Sprint and demand a replacement phone. Unfortunately you wil end up with a refurb, which may or may not be any better.

hey guys I hae a slight problem. I hae been using this rom greatly and decided I was gonna try out the beta of cyanogen. I backed up my phone before flashing cyanogen and restored after trying out the beta. I noticed that some things like http streaming and other issues that cyanogen mod had were now in my truely epic rom. I believe what happened is I now have the kernal that I flashed from cyanogen and no longer have the correct kernal for truely epic. Any way I can get the correct kernal without using odin, rerooting and then flashing my backup?

Is the DK28 Froyo 2.2.1 or just 2.2? I read in a few places that the "WIFI Issue" I am experiencing is fixed in 2.2.1.... Just thought I'd ask before I go to the Sprint store

Does anyone know where I would input this command line?:
Settings.System.putInt(getContentResolver(),
Settings.System.WIFI_SLEEP_POLICY,
Settings.System.WIFI_SLEEP_POLICY_NEVER);

EDIT: Took it to the Sprint store trying to get a replacement and the person said that if what he tried didn't work I would have to contact Samsung for a replacement since I do not have insurance on my plan... Which is what I figured was going to happen. Anyway, what he did was update the PRL. (Home screen --> Capacitive Menu Button --> Settinsg --> About Phone (All the way at the bottom) --> System Update --> Update PRL.

This seems to have done it as ridiculous as it sounds, either that or it just magically started working, which I am okay with as long as it doesn't go haywire again...

Perhaps this was covered elsewhere in this thread, but I searched and could not find anything.

Is there anyway to disable the sms voicemail notifications without installing the bubble SMS patch? I'm not particularly fond of the look of the bubble UI, but I would love to not receive a text message every time a voicemail comes through.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to just use the visual voicemail from sprint as it initially worked, without the bubble UI on the SMS.

Any thoughts?

Sorry, there is no other workaround. You could flash the stock bubble SMS, turn off its notifications, and then use an app like Handcent or ChompSMS if you don't like the bubble style.

Trashing My Epic On Battery Replacement

I have had this problem happen twice. I use my phone a lot. I usually need to replace my battery with a backup once a day.

Two times when I replaced the battery my Epic was totally unusable because the home screen is trashed and I get constant FC's. The other time the phone went into constant reboot.

To restore my phone I went back to a CW backup that I had on my phone. This made my phone operational.

Is there some type of cache in Truly Epic that I need to wait for my phone write this cache?

Any other suggestions? I am tired of losing my Angry Birds levels!!!!!

I've been using my phone heavily the past couple weeks, and I've not experienced anything like that. What additional modifications/apps do you have?

I lied the WIFI issue is back. I believe, ironically, it broke after I fixed my GPS after flashing for the 2nd time. I will have to redo everything and try fixing the GPS not through method 4, but perhaps method 1 or 2... Either that or I am SOL and will just have to stick with DI18. Anything wrong with using the leaked 2.2 release though and not flashing a ROM?

You can use the leaked DK28 Froyo and still receive the OTA update when it comes out. Its not going to be as good as custom ROMs, has a few bugs here. I used it for over a week before moving onward to custom ROMs.

phone muted on sleep

So I have truleyepic on my phone, only issue I have noticed is that when I am on the phone it tends to go on mute if I am on the call and the screen is blacked out for more than 30 seconds. Anyone else experiencing this? And tips on how to fix? I can do a workaround by making sure I do something on the call before the sleep screen hits but it gets cumbersome.

I'm trying to download the stock Samsung apps. Anyone else not getting the link to load? The page isn't loading for me. Is there an alternative location for the stock apps? Thanks.

Wait, you're using this palm-top-book as a phone? I call it my palmbook because it's way better than my first laptop (K6 by Compaq /AMD). With the SDcard, I have more HDD space than my wife's work laptop.
I haven't had any issues with the phone aspect after the ROM. As with most people, I have issues with the battery life (as previously posted).
I do wonder about a couple base apps - like the voice dailer, voice recorder, think free office, sprint hotspot, voice search and all share. Can those be removed?
I look forward to Rag/Paul's next update to 1.3. Even better when we get the ReallyTrulyEpic Gingerbread version.

Anything that is considered a Sprint or stock app can be removed by using the SDX stock app remover from the first post on this thread. (Sorry on phone, can't post a link)

Battery life with TER v1.2

I've had it installed on the phone now for 5 days and I'm noticing the battery running out quicker. I've got cpu tuner installed and I keep background data off most of the time. Any suggestions?

Silly Question but does this ROM support 4G I am new to Android, I got TrulyEpic loaded, it runs fast and has increased my battery life A LOT.... Love it I just seem not to be able to to connect to Sprints 4G Network.
