[ROM] TrulyEpic Rebirth v1.5 AC - no planned EB13 update :'(

I figured I would check my camera and I have the same issue with sport mode causing fc instantly. I've never even tried to use it before with stock or ter. Shutter is alittle slow , blurry pics

I wouldn't think this would be related to the ROM but I guess anything is possible. If your referring to "action mode" that is... I just tried it out and all my modes are working fine, no FC's.

Note: I'm also on TER 1.2 currently doing some testing to see how the newer Mini Theme works on older version of TER.

just installed (easy with the directions, thanks) and gotta say, it's truly epic! I was so fed up with lag I was thinking of switching phones. My Epic is like new. In fact, better!

Can someone make a video of this rom in action? I wanna see how fast and awesome exactly it is and see if its worth it to root and flash this rom. Is it superior to cynogen rom?

Just noticed that there is now a version 1.5 :) One step I'm not 100% sure on, and that is step 2:

Make a Nandroid Backup in ClockworkMod Recovery. DO NOT wipe your phone prior to flashing as this ROM will automatically backup and restore your data.

What is a Nandroid backup and why would that be required if Clockwork does a full backup and restore during the flash process?

Would like to understand this as I have this phone right where I want it, and it's working great. Don't want to have to re-install crap loads of stuff again.

Thanks.

The Nandroid backup is just a protection incase of the unknown happening. Otherwise the full version of TER 1.5 will do an auto backup and restore of your current setup when the rom is flashed.

I'm all for doing something extra just in case, but how do I do a Nandroid backup? Do I just boot into clockwork and do a backup from there?

Yeah, but I don't believe that it is called nandroid backup, you will click on backup and restore and then click backup, it took mine a while to back everything up but it will work.

Sports mode and Action mode are 2 different things. Sports mode is chosen by opening the camera, clicking on Settings, and changing the "Scene Mode." I just tried it, and am also getting an instant FC.

I got the same force close on sports mode running ter 1.5 and mini theme 1.7. It also seems that when I try to shoot in action mode it takes me to panorama mode, kind of weird.

The backup you make in ClockWorkMod is called a Nandroid backup, next time you boot into CWM select backup/restore and it will say Nandroid in white text. The auto backup and restore feature in the full version of TER 1.5 is basically the same thing that the NanDroid backup is doing in CWM for you automatically.

Thanks. Got it sorted now and am on TER1.5 with 1.7 mini theme :)
Shame that the desktop widgets get blown away, but not a biggie.

RE: Sports mode FC

My phone does too. I wonder if it has something to do with the picture at the bottom you see when you select the mode. It force closes before any picture appears for the Sports Mode.

To those having trouble with the Camera FC's, try flashing the following file. I pulled it from TER v1.2. See how it works, you may get a FC from it due to being a different version and may have to go into Settings>Manage Applications>Camera and Clear Cache/Data.

Camera & Firmware from TER 1.2
(Flash in CWM3)

This ROM is awesome! Thanks a bunch! I have been using it for week now and the benchs are off the charts compared to stock 2.1 w/RFS. Last night however I installed a few more apps (one of which was titanium backup) and now since my phone ran out of battery it is stuck in a boot loop. Any ideas on this without me having to re-install?
