[RUU] 4-18-2011 | New Rom + Radio 1.16.00.402 FIXES!

Loaded this up to get the new radio then loaded Das BAMF 1.5. Been messing around with it for the last few hours. Battery drains a bit slower but switching from 3G to 4G is still painfully slow.

md5sum

Edit:

I checked the md5sum by first pushing the file to the phone and then second running a md5sum check in adb. See below.

adb push PG05IMG.zip /data/local/
(This took a while bc it's such a large file. Just give it time and wait for it to say it was successful.)

adb shell

/data/local/busybox md5sum /data/local/PG05IMG.zip

53e78863b7cc829261b4c6e1b984c200 /data/local/PG05IMG.zip (This is your output.)

uh, why did you install this RUU if you were going to BAMF 1.5? The base was already included in that Rom. All you needed was the radio: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

I just want to clarify (cause I had root and ROM last night)...and I accidentally unrooted my phone.
I am on BAMF Remix 1.5 right now, it's working great.
All I want to do is load this radio file.
Save it to the root of the sdcard, then load it like normal, correct?

Yes, and reboot into hboot.

Done...updated radio. Thanks.

My heart sunk this morning after I rooted and Rom'd last night...only to go back to NON-root for using the "non-root" config file. Sheesh.

Live and learn! Thanks all...

I can tell you yesterday and today, it went from LTE to 3g for some reason.
Yesterday I rebooted and it was fine.
Today I re-downloaded LTE on/Off, told it CDMA, then back to auto (CDMA/LTE) and it's fine again.
My I broke into a sweat yesterday when it went right to 3G...lol.

This is probably a stupid question but after doing auto root there's already a file on my /sdcard called pg05img.zip. now if I download the radio to my /sdcard/download folder it is also called PG50img.zip. I assume I should remove the original. Zip file so hboot knows which file to load. Is this correct?

Not a dumb question at all.
Better to ask then make the mistakes I did.

File Size is key. The complete RUU is about 300MB.
The radio only file is about 25MB.

I used root explorer to delete the 300mb file, copy and pasted the radio only file to the root of the drive and rebooted and installed.

Took about 1/5 the time to unzip and load the radio file.

You are spot on (believe me, I was spot off this morning...:) )

Thanks for the tip. Gonna try it now. Hoping for the best.

So I first backed up Titanium and Nandoid.

I then installed the radio code from the link earlier, by mistake, I wanted the ROM
No big deal, I'll redo, now I find I'm not rooted, I'm can't restore my titaniumbackup,
I can't use rom manager..

Above all I tried to use hboot, it sees the zip file on my sdcard, but after reading it
it will not install. I even went back to root proceedure, problem is it used hboot which isn't working correctly ..

Any ideas?

If you can boot into recovery, restore your nandroid back up, and then flash the rom and the radio after you wipe everything.

man i screwed up!! i lost root i believe. i downloaded rom manager n downloaded a rom by accident n lost root rights i believe. tried to canceled but could not. tried to restore my rom it wont let me saying superuser not having priveliges or something like that??? checked titanium backup hit problems and downloaded busybox n keeps giving me a foreclose and root access fialed!!

It sounds like you do have a backup of the ROM correct? Your best bet is going to be to re-root the phone and then try the restore again. You should be able to follow the root instructions on the sticky.

See if that helps, and we'll go from there.

Ok i appologize in advance because i know you guys are tired of answering our noob questions but i dont wanna screw things up.

So i wanna add the new radio and also BAMF 1.5 Remix.

now, do i add the radio first then flash BAMF or the other way around?
also do i have to wipe data/factory reset wipe cache's and delete Dalvik cache before doing each or just once?

Thanks for all you guys help!

Its better to ask and get it right then not ask and get confused. Your best bet is going to be to grab the radio file, and flash that first. Note that the radio file is about 25 MB in size, I got this wrong a few times, and was eternally frustrated.

After that, it is best to wipe your data / cache / dalvik, as generally issues with flashing a ROM can be avoided this way.

Hope that helps.
Good luck!
