Yes, got it this morning. I was able to finally trigger it, but seems really inconsistent. Like it won't work on a water bottle for me, but it triggered on a speaker.

I guess that ruins it for all those water bottle pictures you want to take.

It's definitely not thermal imaging though. I think it's just a gimmick, similar to apps that could scan a fingerprint and tell your mood, or fingerprint unlock before I screen fingerprint sensors were a thing. Looks like a gag app at best.

Here's the "night vision", followed by the UltraCVM GCam mod, and then finally the stock cam.
A few takeaways:
- it's not a heat sensor, nor is it anything that I can identify a pattern for
- low-light picture quality, even for still subjects, still sucks on this phone.
