My replacement has been working great since last week. Rotates fine. I charge it on the fast charger when I get home from work before I go to the gym, then again overnight and no issues at all. The first phone I got stopped rotating after a day so I'm hopeful this will be fine.

Mine stopped working after a week, so monitor it for sure.

According some of the reports, you should contact Samsung Support at 1-800-samsung. Has anyone contact them to see what they have to say about this?

day 15 of ownership and my edge stopped rotating today. Is anyone just doing nothing and waiting to see what they plan on doing to correct this? I would think the 1 yr warranty would cover the fix if everyone needs a phone replacement. Your thoughts please. Should I head to Verizon Monday morning or wait and see? Cant do the axis check thing as Verizon has the access to it blocked. Otherwise I love my phone.

It's day 15 for me as well but I replaced mine once. My only grump is right now tapping the right text but I haven't chocked that down to this yet(Coming from an s4 where it felt on point when I tapped). Replacements the only option right now if you can't find another way to kick the accelerometer into gear.

14 day return period should not apply to any of these issues for those that want to keep the device. Should be covered under 1 year manufacturer warranty. But it definitely creates a tough choice for those on the fence about keeping the device.

I'm on my second replacement and rotation stopped on this one this morning. Verizon store does not have a replacement in stock so I have to wait until they do. They reset the 15 day period last Saturday after the first replace, they've promised to do the same this time when they get the phone in stock. We'll see if they do the right thing or if this becomes a battle. As far as I'm concerned I will keep replacing devices until Samsung fixes this garbage... why should I have to settle?

Any idea how widespread this problem is? On Wednesday I can finally purchase the s6 Edge but between this and the battery drain reports I'm very hesitant to do so

You're right it is covered under manufacturer warranty, the problem is you have to send it to samsung for "analysis"... Words used by their terrible customer service. And it could take weeks.

If you have protection plan it should be easy swap out but depending on carrier insurance you may pay for shipping after those 14 days.

BTW I don't know how it works with upgrades but if it's a new contract you have 30 days or 24 hrs use to split and run if you say something like the service is not for you. I do note I have no idea if there's a time frame after citing service to wait and try again with a specific carrier.

I have this problem and debated taking it back. Ultimately I decided to take it back to the VZW Corp store near me. They said I was the 2nd person to report the issue there. Since I have the 128GB it's not currently in stock in store or the warehouse. I really think Samsung may have gotten a bad batch of chips from the manufacturer. The chip is an all in one compass/accelerometer. My wife used the fast charger for a short time didn't have a problem. Hasn't had a problem, yet (knock on wood).

At any rate I'm on the list to get a new one as soon as one comes in, which will be a while, hopefully get a phone on a better manufacturing run.

Yeah I understand that could be a pain but sometimes the carrier will swap it out too. For instance I had some issues with my LG G3 last year after about a month of having it. AT&T store identified it as something that is covered. So I had to go to their location that handled these items and thy swapped right on the spot. So I think it depends. Besides apple I never worked directly with the manufacturer for things like this in the past.

I got mine 3 days ago. Att 64gb gold and not seeing the rotation issues yet **cross fingers** but reading looks like can happen at any point. And battery isn't an issue for me. Tweaked my settings accordingly and leave Bluetooth and WiFi on. No cell stand by for me just yet. Just hope it remains that way.

I just received my 128gb gs6 edge a few days ago and have the screen not rotating issue out of the box after setup and updating. Called Verizon CS yesterday and they tried troubleshooting with no luck. They sent me over to Samsung CS and she told me they know about the issue and are working on it and it's caused when the carrier installs their part of the software with Samsung and Google's. They are working on a software fix and will push it out "soon".

If that is true than how come the regular S6 doesn't have the rotation problem, they both have the same bloat ware.
I call that B/S. I think the edge has different hardware than the reg. S6

I think it's BS too, if it was software then all Edges would be affected.

I had a black 32 g the issue started and verizon and samsung did not have a answer. so I took it back and got a white one. It is working fine as of now and I am using the charger for my tablet, it is keeping the phone a lot cooler. Anyway if it happens again I'm going most likely going with the regular s6.my buddy bought one when it first came out and has no issues but I think he mainly uses the wireless charging.
