The temporary status should show up fairly quickly. The actual credit wont happen till you officially pay. The actually credit will be less than the original amount of you have a trade in. You only get credit for what you actually spend.

No I contacted rakuten and they said it didn't show the last purchase on their end that I did yesterday. So now they gotta contact Samsung and blah blah blah. I did it through their app and it showed the 10% on the top when I was placing the order.

No and to be honest I never got a confirmation email from rakuten the 21st when I ordered either. IDK if it's worth reordering again this time through the web vs the app

I haven't tried thru their app but it has worked perfectly for me every time on the browser on my Mac via Rakuten browser extension. When I open samsung.com it automatically pops to activate the 10% benefit and I say yes. Before placing order I make sure the Rakuten extension says shopping trip is active. After I place the order I get immediate confirmation from the extension as well as email follow up shortly confirming the rebate. You can also verify the same from Rakuten account - my shopping trips.

Yeah I just reordered again and the whole time up until and after check out it said 10% at the top. This time I took a screenshot of the final receipt of purchase with the 10% active on there. So we shall see

How were you able to check the status of the delivery, via your shop Samsung app?

No, just followed link from order confirmation email and it showed me estimated delivery date on that page

i am one of the few who enjoy using my phone sans case. i find the original design of every phone to be part of what is so special about the phone, so i enjoy the tactile feel of the phone.

that said, due to my hand surgery and current recuperation from my surgery, i need a popsocket to help me grip the phone, especially for any prolonged period of time. hopefully, with exercise and strengthening, i'll grow out of the need for the popsocket and my phone will finally be truly, entirely, utterly naked

why can't Samsung take a page off of the Apple playbook, i.e. have the introduction press gathering at an auditorium on a Tuesday, and the phones ready for sale THAT Friday! That works well for Apple. Maybe it will work well for Samsung as well!

Additionally, not even my freebie earbuds+ or my 45-watt charger has shown any shipping movements yet. everything in my receipt is still in the "ordered" phase, with no signs yet of any movement. you'd think they would ship out the accessories now when they are not busy shipping out the phone this week, right? they'd be completely inundated by this time next week!

I imagine that all your freebies that you got with the phone will ship in the same box as the phone so you will receive all at once. In my experience the company that handles their fulfillment struggles as it is so no need to add the additional complication of keeping track of multiple shipments.

Then it seems that we will be in for some fun with that. Almost all of my other preorders have had everything come in the one box.

I think that's because if an accessory is backordered they won't delay shipping you the phone. They'll ship the phone and all the available accessories together and if any accessory is not available when the phone is ready to ship then they ship those accessories separately when available.

I think thats correct. For my Note10+ order i got a bunch of their cases and they all shipped separably after the phone was shipped.
