I was able to get it escalated just by emailing the office of the president directly: Officeofthepresident@sea.samsung.com or president@sea.samsung.com (I sent to both, not sure which one got me the response)
The "office of the president" is apparently what Samsung calls it's uppermost customer service level, after the regular channels have been exhausted.
