I ordered the T-mobile version of the Note8 with Note7 trade in option on August 27. My card had a pending charge for a few days that dropped off by August 30 and was replaced by a $1.05 charge from Samsung. This morning the full invoice charge re-appeared as a pending transaction on my credit card. They are probably getting ready to ship. My Samsung account still has no tracking and the cancel order button is visible.

Yeah. Seems to being going smooth so far.
The only outstanding thing for me will be to get Sprint to stop effing charging me $35 monthly for my Note 7.
I'm assuming once I activate the Note 8, send back Note 7, Samsung confirms they have it, THEN I have Samsung tell Sprint it's confirmed returned so I can get a refund on my Note 7 payments?

How did you find out that it's on backorder? Which version did you get and did you do the Note 7 trade in credit?

Order on the 8/25 and getting today. Did anyone get everything shipped together including the gifts? I remember it was sent separately last year. Anywho, Samsung really stepped up the shipping and appeasing the Note diehards this year. Kudos and for those braving the storm, be safe. We will get our phones very soon.

Just got update. Said could not be loaded on the plane in time. What BS. Samsung dropped the ball again having these picked up too late. I better get refunded shipping and if I don't get it because of the hurricane and that, do you think I can cancel still and just order from tmobile and not put up with samsung bs? Doesn't even give me a date now.

Again....this is ups logistics. This isn't Samsung. A third party company is packaging these and getting them ready for Samsung.
Anyway, that isn't how it works. If your package arrived at the UPS hub 5 hours or 5 minutes before it's scheduled flight, it wouldn't matter. UPS only sends x number of flights/trucks. It's unlikely your destination has around the clock trips.
This is all UPS. Samsung fulfilled their half.
As indicated by another poster, expedited shipping Peeps are getting refunds. It shipped second day, so by that estimate it's on time.

Very weird... ordered on the 25th sprint version no movement and still showing preorder and cancel status on my samusng shop app. went on the actual web and they have changed that over to confirmed over night. Not sure why the status is different on the web vs their app. Called Samsung last night about my NOte 4 and being told I could trade that in as well and of course was told last night that no, that is not part of the deal and I could not send in the 4 like I was told previously. He then went on to tell me that I would have my phone by end of this weekend. Lies all lies

Even my status still hasn't updated...I would have never ordered from Samsung directly if it wasn't for the Note 7 deal
mine just changed from pre order to confirmed and the cancel button is gone how long does it take to ship now does anyone who has there's know?

Same here. Again, why did they ship our phones second day air when we paid the extra $14 to overnight it? We paid for it, why didn't they send it the way it was supposed to?
I better not get charged the 400 something bucks if I don't get the package because my house is gone or I'm out of town because they didn't ship it overnight like I PAID for!
