Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

If I don't get it by the weekend, can Samsung customer service do anything like send me another out and then if I ever get the original shipment send it back to them?

This whole pre order has been filled with incompetence. If they would have correctly shipped it out overnight like I PAID for this wouldn't have happened most likely.

as frustrating as is it now, I think if you initiate another order/replacement process now you'll be subjecting yourself to an even bigger nightmare in the double billing/return/refund process. good luck.
 
Got mines and did the smart switch from the iPhone 7 plus. Been playing around with it all evening. Been pretty impress by it!

Yeah I'd just wait it out and keep checking...that is gonna be another hassle
Or if you wanted, you could get it from a carrier for 14 days (I think there is a 14 day try period) while you wait for your phone, then return it to the carrier. Probably have to pay a restocking fee but atleast you will have a Note 8 for some time.
 
Got my Note8 yesterday and have been playing with it. Weird thing is that the pending charge on my credit card for the phone with Note7 trade-in offer has dropped off the card, while the charge for the Gear VR glasses is on the card. Which means that they are waiting for the trade in to show up before charging the card even though at the point of order entry I got the full $425 trade in credit.

Yeah I was advised to reorder again (I canceled the moment they told me it was canceled out of frustration and anger), which was yesterday.

So now waiting (again.)

Also, did the person get it sorted out? How long did it take?

Or they ended up just using their CC instead?

I have no idea, CC not charged, but moved from update payment to preorder and I finally got a confirmation email as soon as I entered the CC. So I assume it will just hit my CC, but so far nothing. Still on preorder phase on my page.
 
From the looks of this thread, Samsung is shipping via FedEx. Is FedEx requiring signature or do they leave it on front door step if nobody is available to sign?
 
has anyone received it through ups? I have a mystery package coming today through them. 1.6lbs wondering if its going to require a signature if it's my note 8

My mom is sick of her POS cheap LG phone and said she'd give me $300 for my S7 edge. Would that be a better pay out rather than gambling with Samsung and only getting $25 for my mint condition s7 edge?

I would just buy the unlocked version at best Buy then. Knowing my luck I get my phone two weeks later and Samsung says I sent it in too late to get my rebate.
 
Well my account says I have to ship the s7 edge by Sept 20th. Looks like I'm screwed possibly by Samsung here. Looks like I will do a refuse shipment.

Well they aren't going to send someone a phone they already sent them -- just to see if the 2nd phone gets there first. No company would do that. Ever.
 
Finally got mine yesterday. Just a heads up if you chose the 360 Cam as the free gift, it needs an SD card to work wich is not included.

It was a general comment. Not specific to this. They were supposed to ship the phone to me by 11 sep. still in pre-order status, and samsung lies to me every time i call them

So if I don't have the SD card yet, it won't power on? Because I can't get it to power on and I don't have the micro SD card yet, so I was wondering if that's the issue

Can you still cancel the order? I would just do that and order from best Buy or your carrier. I'm on hold with Samsung about my order.
