Question about the $50 "any smartphone" trade in...
I planned to trade in my current smartphone (2013 Droid Maxx) for $50, but I have an old HTC Incredible I would rather send in, but the water sensor on the battery shows it's been damaged. The phone still powers on, works, etc, just the battery shows that it was damaged. The way I read the trade-in terms, it sounds like if I were to trade in a damaged phone or a phone that otherwise wouldn't meet the trade in requirements, that I would get $25 instead of $50 credit. Is that correct? If so, it would be worth the $25 ding to trade in the damaged phone and keep my current one for a backup.

Folks, FedEx PLD (Package Level Detail) aren't as good as UPS. So, don't be alarm if stuff doesn't update. It will show up.

In your experience, is it possible for a package to not even show up in tracking before it is delivered?

My S9+ was just delivered. Letting it charge to 100% before I transfer everything over from my S8+.

Has anyone gotten any info on how to send your trade back in? My box had no return info and the website is only today saying that my order was delivered. Only note on it is

"Hey if you want to cancel, dont send the device & just ignore any reminder emails." next to my trade in the order.

I just started a thread regarding that.

Phone is at Destination sort facility as of 2:55am. No further updates from FedEx yet. The FedEx vehicles around here don't have as distinctive a sound as the UPS trucks. Sometimes FedEx delivers with a smaller van.

8:48am...at local FedEx facility. Christmas in March. Certainly cold enough!
9:37am...On FedEx vehicle for delivery. Here comes Santa!

Delivered! Oh happy day. Inner child pops out and starts playing with new device while it is transferring over all the settings from my S8+

Ok, got the S9 Unlocked just over an hour ago. Popped my VZ Sim and SD card from my s7E, worked like a champ. The unlocked phone now shows up on MyVerizon and the first big update is downloading now with the apps I selected coming from Google Back-Up as well. No drama at all, as expected...

I'm bored, when does the X come out!

Same here... Then shattered when I found dust under my screen. First world problems

Was told to buy a second phone from Samsung.com now and then wait a couple days until the return option becomes available for the phone I got today.

Haha even worse my fedex guy shows up early so I have to get up early again.

Yep. the firmware update popped up within 5 minutes on Unlocked to VZ..

Lot of people getting worried.. Folks the package ships thru a plane so it'll reach your local destination facility in the morning even if it leaves the FedEx hub around midnight so don't worry.
Generally most my packages leaves FedEx Memphis hub midnight and will be in the local destination morning at the West coast.
Everyone will be getting their phones delivered today unless weather plays spoilsport.

Now 4pm and last thing listed is Indy at 5am, not feeling good about a delivery today. Heading on a biz trip so no new toy for me. Oh well.

Fedex just handed over my unlocked s9+. Set it up as new phone, manually checked and updated firmware, installed most of my apps. This thing is fast, smooth, beautiful.

Just received S9 ordered with a Sprint sim card. Received Verizon sim card instead. Samsung tells me it will be 3 to 5 days until they have a upper management solution. Drag feet long enough so customer deals with problem on their own. I am told it's common problem they are dealing with today.
