Samsung: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

I got that exact same email a few hours after getting an email from Samsung eCommerce guy apologizing and saying it will ship on 30 September. I'm done waiting. Told them to give me a reason to not cancel. I don't anticipate anything so I'm canceling tomorrow and either buying it from Best Buy or thinking of other options.

They're happy to inform me that my basic 128GB ATT model is going to be delayed again? Okay...

So, I lose the headphones. And the S7e $300 credit. It's just not worth it anymore. I will repurpose the S7e.
 
I called them this morning apparently they said my shipping date is on the week od the sept 30th which i don’t believe at this point.

I received a virtually identical email (sans the parts about ignore previous shipping estimates & sorry you had to keep contacting us).

I'm on the same page as some of you - difficult to believe until I receive an official shipment confirmation. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if I get another email in a week assuring me it will ship by mid or end of October

That would be awesome! Then you can show them your cancelation confirmation and thank them for the free phone. Or at least you can email them once a month promising you will be shipping it back by the end of the following month

Since the retailers have these phones in stock, I really think it's just Samsung being inept on everything along with Digital River when you can just walk into the store and buy it and walk back out like with Tmobile for example. Their version of the 512gb is on back order from samsung, but you can just walk in or order it from Tmobile which has it in stock lol.

Got that super rad email too. Is this some big joke Samsung didn't bring the public into. Pre-ordered AUG17, supposed to ship OCT06. I'm looking at almost 2 months of waiting..for a pre-order. I've had more phone calls, chats and emails with this company about this pre-order than any other company, ever. Not sure if I am going to get another Samsung after this one.
 
Can anyone that has had their phones shipped, who were going to cancel but we're prompted that they would get $100 off the order, confirm they got that discount upon shipping? I don't want to have to deal with Sammy anymore after I receive my phone.

Really... Who actually writes this stuff? "Oh, ignore all that crap you've been fed after being on hold hours and hours.. This e-mail is the real deal."

Even this email says it's "anticipated" that it would ship. They are non committal. Last Friday, it was anticipated that it would ship by the 29th. Rep today writes to me "I have checked the order details and would like to inform you that the product is estimated to ship in the date 2018-09-30" Then 3 hours later I get this e-mail.

I have to admit - after my last 3 phones went flawlessly with Samsung, this experience has soured me on them big time - especially since I am not looking for the 512, but rather the 128 which I don't think anyone else is waiting for except me, the dumbass who held on because of those stupid headphones and trade in credit.

Thanks Samsung for making me miss all the other promotions that other places were having.

Interesting that the email you got is different from the others.. Did you contact Samsung to ask for shipping details? I guess they are sending only the really apologetic email to the ones who are complaining.

LMAO. One orders right when you can order and still don't get the phone after over a month being the first to order. This is what I was trying to say how they don't fill orders in which they receive them. I've seen this BS with past pre orders too. People who order first don't get it while people who ordered later do.

Since I'm on Tmobile and can use unlocked I'm just going to order it from Amazon or B&H next time and not play this Russian roulette each time I order and hope for the best. Sure, you might get it a day or so later by ordering via Amazon, but their pre order gifts are better and a light years better customer service if you do have an issue with your phone or order unlike dealing with Samsung which is simply a nightmare.
 
I'm upset too - there's no justification for the lack of accountability but heck - I'm going to get the headphones, $200 off & &$400 trade-in for my current phone plus a separate line of credit. Based 3 my estimated ship date it will be 2 months but I'll keep waiting it out. It will be worth it

I e only contacted them one time several weeks ago asking if they knew when it would ship when they missed my first date

I'm actually glad I cancelled my initial "pre-order" (which why are we calling it a pre-order anyways isn't the phone out already?) Anyhow, I cancelled my initial pre-order from late Aug where I was gonna get a wireless charger duo and the rugged case, for my new order I made yesterday - which will include the frontier watch and a fast wireless charger.

Secondly, you gotta love how they contradict themselves in these mass emails.

- So they throw their CS under the bus, then say contact them if you have any questions... lol what gives! Hilarious.
