I'm experiencing slow wlan download speed on my home wifi. While many other devices ar using maximum speed mesured by Speedtest.net (50 Mbps), S7 max is 25 Mbps.

I have tried everything forums have to offer by now: Restarting phone, router, changing router settings including channel, switching wifi security access off, flushing phone cache, etc...

What I have noticed is that all my devices connected are using Wi-Fi type 802.11 n, only S7 is set on type 802.11 g. I'm not sure if this may be the problem or not. I was hoping to find a way to switch wi-fi type on my phone somehow. Is this possible at all?

Phone specifications: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot

It should switch automatically. I would try moving it closer to the router.

I was actually 2 steps away from the router the whole time through the troubleshooting, with no physical barriers. Do you still think this could be the case?

At the end, the only thing that helped was factory reset of the router. Everything seems ok now.
