Samsung giving money back

I got the full $250 back. It wasn't easy but I documented everything beforehand. Used chat and laid it all out. 512 gig unlocked paid in full so I qualified for the 250.

Wow that's great for you! So was it only if you bought the unlocked out right? I'm still a little confused cuz we bought the Verizon out right from Samsung but they activated it it came with a Sim already in it and Verizon knew that we were upgrading. and they said they were charging us $20 activation fee instead of 40 cuz we did it online. Either way he told me Best Buy is sold out and he couldn't match and I was already getting 10%, they offered and I just said ok. I was glad to be getting something. But he said the SKU numbers had to match I don't know. But I'm glad to hear those that are getting credit are getting it that's great.

I just love this phone it's like so great in my signals so good. I still haven't messed around with all the features and settings yet.
 
For me ya i bought the phone out right $ S21 ultra 512gb unlocked.

Received additional follow up email from samsung stating only getting $205 back not $230. Oh well, grateful to even get that :)

Thank you for the heads up about this. I had to call Samsung about a missing part to my order and discussed this with the rep. I was able to get $100 refunded to my account.
 
Well, partly good news. I received the $50 promo code, which is what I was promised during my chat conversation with a rep on Thursday evening.

Still waiting to hear back on the status of the $200 credit for the price match. I was 15 days and 12 hours out from when my phone was delivered. Samsung's policy on price matching is 15 days from when you receive your order.

Made a compelling argument to the supervisor I spoke with on Friday over the phone, and have a reference number. She sounded confident I would be approved but I probably won't know either way until Tuesday.
 
This is the deal I got. With a trade in value of $350 for my S9+, would I get anything back from Samsung? I thought it was one heck of a deal as it was.

I was missing part of my order as well. No smart tag, and no information about how to redeem the 4 months free of YouTube Premium.

I contacted Samsung on Fri and heard back yesterday about the Best Buy price match. They would not price match because of the Activate Now issue someone else mentioned earlier. Today while checking the Samsung app to see if the Ultra was back in stock I noticed the current S21+ price was less than what I paid. Just got off the phone with Samsung and the rep said they will refund me the difference.

For person above that mentioned the YouTube promotion, I asked about that too and they sent me a link to redeem. Will see if I can add here later. They also told me there was a big delay in the smart tags and it should be coming within the next 2 weeks.

Sorry, having problems adding url for You Tube redemption. It has my email address embedded in it. Contact Samsung and they will send you a link.

Has anyone been told they won't price match until it ships. That makes no sense, but it is samsung.
I guess that's because the official charge (transaction) gets posted only after it ships and the way they refund is credit back the price match difference to that transaction. Even earlier cancellation trick worked like that, where you try to cancel and they offer you $100 to keep. But that gets refunded only after the phone ships and transaction gets posted.

I can reorder for $80 less from their website. I might most cancel and do that, but knowing Samsung they will say I'll have to wait till it gets to my door and then send it back.

They always have to make it complicated. It's not scheduled to be here till the 23rd, they could just change the order amount due and that is all that charges when it ships. A lot of BS to deal with and it's not my phone. I'll probably just go the do it when it ships and probably not get it. If my cancel button was still there it would be easy to just reorder.

YA no infos on the youtube premium for me either, dont really gave a hoot about that. My orders page was showing last week the the galaxy tab was delivered, i never got it. Contacted samsung order support and they sent me this reply yesterday:

I would take a screen shot of the price on this best buy page to have when you can do the price match. Hopefully they may still honor the price guarantee buy the time you get youre phone and if the bestbuy/amazon prices change back to normal.

If you cancel order though you'd lose youre place in the order line and there may not be any more in stock and it'd be a good month before you get the re ordered one. Just sayin .

He's not in a hurry to get it and the delivery date is the same as we have now. I'm probably not going to do anything, samsungs customer service is a pain to deal with.

I didn't give any leeway. I was very direct with screen shots and url showing it was in stock. Also mine was a unlocked version.
 
Still waiting to hear back regarding my situation. Planning on calling Samsung Tuesday afternoon to touch base, as I'm not sure the the department evaluating my price match request is working tomorrow. I'm staying on them about the whole "12 hours over the 15 days" thing. It's been a battle.

Are you still in the return period? If you are still in the return period then there shouldn't be any problem with having them price match. It's only if you are outside of the return period (those who received launch day) that need to fight for the refund

I got mine at launch and I had no issues getting the price match. I was surprised it was so easy. It was pending credit back on my card the 2 days after the chat.
