Samsung S20 TMobile version or UNLOCKED version? Pros and Cons...

oh my, so when i do my pre-order on Friday morning on samsung.com, as i am doing the pre-order, the $200 credit will ALREADY be available and be able to be used instantly ON THE S20 Ultra phone that i'm actually pre-ordering?

so the S20 Ultra 512gb is $1600, less $600 trade in value of my S10+ = $1000,
then i can use the instant credit of $200 so $1000 - $200 = FINAL NET AMOUNT OWED $800

so my credit card will only be charged $800?

that's unbelievable!

So the $200 instant credit is for accessories, it doesn't come off the final price of the phone. The accessories you order will come with your phone though.

They even throw in free shipping!

Plus some sales tax yes! I agree it is a good deal and process!

They even throw in free shipping!

First of all, how you do ALREADY know that they will throw in free shipping? i'm curious!

i had no idea!

also, would you happen to know which type of shipping they are throwing in for free? i.e. will it be UPS Ground or UPS 2nd Day Air? Or their FedEx equivalents?

if it will be merely ground shipping that is free, i might have to bite the bullet and choose an upgraded shipping option!

who can wait the extra 2 days?!? ;) ha ha.

If you look at the pre, pre-order web page it has a little piece of artwork that shows "free shipping included", at the bottom.

Past history says it well be FedEx two-day delivery. Also, past history says it will be the fastest shipping option available to choose from.

And past history: someone usually has to be home for delivery. With the Note 10 there was a small window where you could reroute your delivery to a local Walgreens for pickup.

Can't you do e signatures now and have it left at the door/garage/porch?

Not based on orders that took place during the Note 10 preorder. I believe they were mostly shipped direct signature required. You are referring to indirect signature required. You might be able to have it held at a FedEx location but I found it easier to redirect it to a nearby Walgreens. Hopefully that option still exists.

Oh cool I didn't know you could do that. How long does walgreens hold it for? I know USPS does e signatures because I enrolled in their "Informed Delivery" program and they have an e sig on file.

I dont recall but its probably the same length as a hold at Fedex

Well, we're at t minus 13 hours now.

But, still, TMobile hasn't revealed their JOD pricing for Ultra Well Qualified customers.

What's up with them, i wonder?

has anyone been told WHEN samsung.com's pre-order will open up tonight?

TMobile's pre-order opens up at 12:01am tonight at midnight for EASTERN time zone,
but samsung.com hasn't made it clear yet.

@Mike Dee et al:

may i ask if you guys have experience that in past years, samsung.com actually starts the pre-order process a few hours EARLIER than they said they would?

TMobile used to do that. they'd say they would start at a particular time but, a few hours prior, it has gone live already and i was able to input my pre-order.

just wondering if samsung.com would do the same?

i called the samsung.com phone number (listed on their site). the person answering the phone knew nothing. she barely even knew that there is a new phone coming out called the S20. she was utterly clueless. i wonder why samsung.com would put such a person to answer the phone? it gives an awful impression on the company because it really shows that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

That's the worst. With pre orders going live in 8 hours for their biggest flagship launch ever, you'd think all of their reps would be on top of it.
