Samsung Trade in Program, how quickly does the process work thread.

I received my trade-in acceptance email yesterday (Sep 20), thus concluding a process that began two months ago with my pre-order registration on Jul 23. In sum, I paid $506 (plus tax) to swap a Note10+, Note5, and Gear S3 for a Note 20 Ultra (US unlocked, received Aug 19), Active2, and clear standing TPU case.

Yay, I finally received the email that tells me my trade-in was successful! However, I'm a bit worried because on my Samsung account on Samsung's website states SKIPPEDIMMTRIAGEWINDOW. I hope the trade-in success is final, and that Samsung doesn't reverse their acceptance decision.

I had that same message. Others have also reported it. It seems it's a glitch and you should be fine :)

I always tell people that do things like trade ins especially by mail to take a lot.of picks of the packaging and sending process so that way you're covered if anything does get damaged along the way. so happy people aren't having any issues with trade ins ♥️

I wouldn't have even though about doing this if many of you hadn't mentioned it in this thread. I took pics of the multi-stage packing process, i.e. phone in small box with bubble wrap, and that box in another box with popcorn. I also took front & back photos, but I didn't think to take one of the device powered on. It arrived yesterday and it is in mint condition, and only 7 mos old, so I hope I won't have issues.

Thank you to everyone who mentioned taking photos?

Preach on ....I do it with trade in and sales ..even video me walking into shipping place and interaction with person receiving it...

Received mine on Sept 16, got on Chat today since nothing and he said since more than 7 business days he can ok so got email all good.

Have there been issues with trade ins?? I have a piece of hair stuck under my screen protector on my S10+. Should I remove the screen protector so I don't get any BS story that I have a hairline crack?!?! I don't want to believe that they would do something like that!

I'd suggest removing the protector, wiping smudges from the screen, and carefully photographing it both turned on and turned off, before sending it in.

Even though Samsung never received my trade in. FedEx lost it. I filed a claim with FedEx. My trade in was lost or stolen. Samsung assured me since I have my receipt when FedEx took it. it was not my fault. Samsung credited me today as trade in successful.

Great to hear they did that for you. Good job saving your receipt. Sorry that you had to go through that, though!

I have return six phone for trade-ins. Had one issue where the phone somehow got a crack in the screen on the left edge. Gave me a reduced value in trade. I had no pictures for that one. Bad luck for me, I will pack it like a kid is opening a Christmas present from now on, and hope for the best.

I will be trading my S20 for S21. I'm a bit nervous about it. I will be take pictures and a short video of factory reset and packaging wish me luck!
