I am on my second full day. Luckily I put a film over the screen until my Tempered Glass comes in tomorrow with my case. I have no sat my phone on a hard service and it has not even gone in my pocket yet I have 3-5 silver specks on Bezel and a very small nick in the bezel that can be felt with finger nail. A small scuff on the corner as well. I am bewildered because if the phone is not in my hand then it is on the charger on microfiber clothes on my end table. Ive been babying this phone and it's almost like breathing scratches everything on it! I'm annoyed but refuse to commit insurance/warranty fraud by making up an issue just to have it exchanged. Has anyone else had this issue?

Post a picture of the scratches please.

You don't need to "make up" something to return or exchange it. No fraud involved.

It's a phone. It's not jewellery. If you use it, it will get scratched. Who cares. Unless it's on the screen...it's a pointless complaint. You will always be upset with an aluminum device. Better to get a Samsung.

No way I'll go Samsung. I hate TouchWiz. Luckily not on the screen. I understand theyll get scratched a couple times but to have the 3-5 silver parts showing on Bezel and a nick on the bezel while not sitting it on anything hard or even in my pocket is just frustrating.

Note 7 is very easily scratches for comparison sake. I have taken good care of it (until the recall) and it is full of scratches all over

Luckily mine are localized. 99% of people probably would not notice. Folks on the forum probably would though lol I do not feel it is necessary to try to exchange but still frustrating. I try to avoid warranties/exchanges. I am scared I will get a phone that has a worse issue. Especially warranty since VZW told me they send refurbished phones. No thanks I'll keep my scratched phone that I know works flawlessly.

Its an anodized metal phone. Its going to wear down, do you have a wedding ring? Do you ever put it in your pocket, or in a pocket in a bag? Every single of one of those things will cause what you described. Also, don't trust cheap microfiber cloths, easiest way to tell if its cheap, run your hands across it, if it feels like its "catching" or grabbing your hand, thats enough to cause a scratch. Unless you bought your microfibers from a specialiszed dealer, chances are its cheap, anything you get at a local store is pretty much trash.

⬇⬇ Only happens on this ACentral that members complaint for
irrelevant issues like: Scratches-Faulty cases asking advice
to select a phone colour,.etc. Most of them goes to
the Unanswered questions list..Is my opinion

People are allowed to share opinions. It's what a forum is for :)

My opinion is this sounds like BS. I don't baby my phone and don't use a case and have 0 scratches. heck, it's even rubbin back to back with my V20 in my pants pocket or sometimes rubbin together with my iPhone 7 Plus and all of them are fine.

No BS. I might have bumped into something idk. Other than what seems like a fragile finish I love the phone! Just put on my glass screen protector and Incipio DualPro case!

When you say scratches are you referring to ones that you can see with the naked eye or ones that you need a microscope and UV light to see?

Can be seen with a naked eye. But my case covered them up. Ultimately as long as they aren't on my screen it's all good. I just wish it had a stronger finish to the phone.

From the test by jerryrigeverything. The display is the same as any other phone. But the back glass scratches easily. And the metal scratches as easily as any other metal. I don't think there was anything else to note about it though.
