Seems like V30 is going to be the best phone

I think I'll be OK with it... I reserve the right to be wrong.

There's nothing really bad about it tbh. The new ratio gives some new benefits like being easier to handle in one hand, doesn't feel as bulky in your pocket and you get more vertical information on your screen but it also takes away in a few places that began to niggle me a little like losing a lot of map information at the sides when using GPS in portrait mode (landscape mode is pointless), videos have black bars at the sides unless you zoom in but then you crop out some of the video and the biggest gripe for me on the G6 which might be the same on the V30 is that because if the extra tall screen you use One Handed Mode a lot more but LG decided to remove that feature for some crazy reason?

I think the way industry is changing... With most manufacturers releasing infinity or bezel less phones with 18:9 aspect ratio even in budgets price... This trend will last few years
.. In India micomax to vivo all releasing infinity and bezel less phone with price tag of 15k ( 234$) to 22k ( 340$).. I am using honor 8 Pro that is 5.7 Inc screen with 16:9 and G6 with 5.7 Inc with 18:9 I love both phones.. But to be honest I still love the honor 8 Pro screen to enjoy my content... And Honor 8 pro is daily driver and G6 2nd phone. Thou I carry both phones daily....

Thou I did notice V30 is not that narrow or tall compared to other phones with same aspect ratio

In your opinion... Others may have different opinions
No sir. It's a fact. Look up the comparison tests. Camera is better quality with ois on both lenses. Better screen and bigger, more features in the o/s. Spen. Better front facing camera and so on. I've owned LG V10 and v20. Now a note 8.

Well a lot of people who love LG's Wide Angle Camera will say it clearly beats the the Note 8 there for starters. Then there's the FPS placement and if the V30 feels anything like the G6 then it'll be far nicer to hold than the Note too. People who take photography seriously will tell you the V30 blows the Note away when it comes to manual controls for stills and videos
Note has both wide angle and zoom lens. Fps doesnt bother me that much. I don't buy a phone to do pro photography. That is what an slr is for.

We've only seen preproduction hands on reviews of the V30 and your claim was The Note beats the V30 in many ways. I can say the same thing about the V30 beating the Note in many ways. What difference does it make anyway?

The field view on the Note wide angle is 77 degrees if I read correctly. The V30s normal camera is 71 degrees so I would hardly call the Note a wide angle camera. The V30s wide angle is 120 degrees.

No you can't because it doesn't.

And another thing the note 8 shouldn't be compared to the v30. The v30 is against the s8 anyways. Note 8 is at a higher level.

Note 8's wide angle is "wide" relative to its zoom lens. Very different from V30's wide angle.

No one uses a phone for Pro photography, but it sure can replace your old point and shoot camera for your holiday

Yes I can because it does and that's a shame since the Note 8 is a at higher level.
Seriously... The Note 8 is a great phone but don't try to oversell it because you're sold on it.

Exactly.. It's barely wider than a normal lens.. 77 degree field of view is not very wide. V30 is actually considered Superwide

That's good then, they must have just removed it from the G6 as I know the V20 etc did have it by swiping across the Nav Keys. I just couldn't understand why they'd do that after stretching the screen
