Shipping notification....Who's first?

I agree.

Personally, I think the EVO LTE is dead in the water...at least as a flagship phone for Sprint.

Further, I don't think it is out of the question that Sprint may eventually take action against HTC for monetary damages.

Obviously u don't read... its not HTC fault they have changed the software already that is supposedly holding everything up.. If anybody is to blame its Apple .........

What's so wrong about that? I clearly needed the phone, Sprint has failed me and I need compensation for it. They screwed up by taking a gamble and now they have to pay the price. It was urgent that I needed the phone.

I tell u what poop in one hand and ask sprint for some compensation in the other hand on a problem that's for a change not there fault. And let me know which one happens first....

I'm pretty sure it will be poop....

Where on line does it say that? I would like to read about it.

My UPS number says my shipment is in New Jersey scheduled for delivery on 5/17/12 by the end of day, I haven't ordered anything but my evo, so if that's not it...somethings coming I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Proof!!!!!¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Inside sprint just posted the following:

http://insidesprintnow.wordpress.com/

As you know, over the past 24 hours we’ve been posting on the delayed launch of the HTC EVO 4G LTE.

as of 4:45PM, we are able to report:

  • ‘Pick and Pack’ has now been completed on ALL pre-orders, therefore cancellation of orders is no longer possible.
  • HTC has a judicial hearing scheduled this week, and we should have clearance to ship shortly thereafter.
  • Unofficially, we should be shipping no later than the first of next week, likely sooner.
This is a very fluid situation, and we’ll be updating throughout the evening as more is learned. Obviously a date can’t be confirmed until the judicial review, however, internally the anticipation is a very quick resolution.

Previously:

Why you can’t cancel your order / Full Launch Delay HTC EVO 4G LTE

Here’s the official responses you’ll get from care:

Q: Can I cancel my pre-order?
A: We can‘t cancel the pre-order at this time. Please wait for your shipment to be delivered. At that time you can either refuse deliver or call us for a return kit.
Q: What do I do if the customer still insists on canceling their pre-order?
A: Tell the customer we will try to have the shipment returned at the warehouse when shipping starts.
We are asking our Back-Office Escalations team to keep a track cancelation requests so that Return-to-Sender requests can be processed when ASNs begin processing.
If the RTS is unsuccessful we will have to arrange a call back to revert to an RMA with the customer.
Q: When will HTC EVO 4G LTE be available to consumers?
A: We can’t provide specific timing for product availability at this time and we appreciate your patience as HTC works to get products on store shelves as soon as possible. Educate the customer to chek the HTC EVO LTE microsite (HTC EVO 4G LTE is now available for pre-order) for the availability date.

What does Pick and Pack mean exactly?

My roommate used to work in a warehouse, i asked him and he said that was the action of clearing the "pick" ticket and putting it onto the sorting container or into the box if it was to be shipped.

So its pretty much grabbing the item, putting it into the box and getting it ready to be shipped.

I think pick and pack is the team responsible for picking the phones off the warehouse shelves and packing them in the UPS boxes. In other words, all the phones have already been packaged and ready to be shipped....they are just waiting for the legal go ahead for the pre orders.

What does Pick and Pack mean exactly?

Merchandise shipment process whereby items are selected (picked) from a warehouse according to what has been ordered by each customer, and then packed for shipment. Pick-and-pack is easy when every customer receives the same items but becomes complex when each customer orders various quantities and types of items from a variety of available merchandise. The different quantities and items require different sizes and types of packaging and increase the possibility of sending too much, too little, or the wrong items. The pick-and-pack process can be greatly simplified by a computer-assisted picking system. See also shipping order.

Well, the at least it would seem they have enough stock...

It is just Apple being a brat and holding up the process.... And HTC/Sprint sorta dropping the ball a bit.

Ok...I'm breathing easier now. Hopefully next week and Sprint seems confident.

Hopefully I'll have my new EVO next week! Went to pre-order today and it's sold out so I'll have to wait :(
