Should I Proceed with Software Update for Android 6.0.1?

Recently bought Samsung A5 version 2017 and after migrating data and setting phone up got message to update software. I don't see any Android version mentioned though:



What kind of update is this and should I proceed with it? Any significant bugs fixed in new version that would justify updating? Conversely any new bugs introduced? I would not want do the job twice of backing up and restoring data.
