I made the switch, too. I'm very happy as well. Not so happy that I had to go through so much crap through Sprint, but we are one good terms now that they switched it. Its bad when there's a whole discussion for people who switched from Pre to Hero, but I haven't seen the reverse on the Precentral forum (I still frequent it for my girlfriend's sake).

I hear ya man... considering I spent TWO hours in the Sprint store on the PHONE with CS & the store manager... I was so upset that they were hesitant to help me, considering I use hearing aids and the Pre broke support for them. All I was trying to explain to them was that I'd like to use a phone as a phone, and the CS lady was giving me "Ford Automotive" analogies... "If you had a car and wanted a new one Ford wouldn't just give you a new one sir" <- Verbatim. I could only muster up with "Well if Ford gave me a faulty steering wheel, they'd replace it before they got their a$$es sued lady."

But yeah, I still keep up with the Precentral forums, and there's not a thread about Hero users switching to the Pre and being happy... which makes me happy I did finally switch.

DigiClock Widget. Has lots of themes and the dev adds more pretty frequently. You can also pick what app you what a click to launch, I use AppAlarm Pro so I can wake up to Slacker radio

there is an auto rooter out that will do it for you with a few clicks of the mouse check it out

I am guessing you are using a custom rom to get the bar at the bottom clear like that, or have I missed somthing that I would love to do with my own, not really sure I want to root it and run a custom rom though, i'd probably mess it up, also what widget is it that lets you fit 8 button's in the place of two, that would be handy for myself

I'm running Fresh 1.0 (defreshed) and Clear theme for Fresh 1.0 ([Theme] Clear - Built on Fresh 1.0 (12-10-09) - xda-developers)
Geekfor.me has an autorooter and very simple instructions how to do it. I love it. My phone is MUCH faster and has much more memory. The Fresh ROM actually removes a lot of the Sprint bloatware
To get the multiple icons I use More Icons Widget. The free version allows you a 1x1 widget w/3 icons & a config button. The paid version adds 2x1 & 4x1 sizes, and allows you to change the config button to an icon.

The calendar app is Pure Calendar Widget and it's a paid one, but completely worth it cuz it has LOTS customization options. To get the TV shows I just created a calendar in Google calendar called TV Shows and I manually add shows I want to keep track of to it.
