Sim card is too easy to remove

I've got a $800 phone (LG v10) and it's got the easy access pop off the back and swipe the Sim card out method and I nearly got my phone stolen in a matter of seconds before my friend saved it

I'm confused, what does easy access to the sim card and SD card have to do with the fact your phone was almost stolen? You say its an $800 phone so its your responsibility to take care with it. Sorry, but that's the reality.
