Sim City Build It overrides current sound volume upon exit

[AC Question]

Running this game on Android 6 on my Nexus 5, 9 and 6P. If I have do not disturb enabled, or just the volume all the way down, as soon as I exit this game DND has been disabled and the volume is back up maybe 10 - 15%. It's quite annoying being woken up at 1am from some incoming email/facebook alert if I forget to re-enable DND.

Obviously its a bug with the game, but it almost seems like this is a bug with Android 6, that apps can disable DND out from underneath the OS.

I have a similar problem, when i close SimCity buildit the volume get very low, so low that i can't hear it. i have a redmi note 3 with android 5.1 lollipop

Same problem here on nexus 5.
In addition when i exit the game volume control is stuck and cannot be changed.
I need to close simcity using task manager then volume control returns to normal.

I'm experiencing the exact same problem on my Nexus 4 still running 4.4 Kit Kat.

The game is also resetting the screen on/off sound and button click (ie: home key) sound continuously. I'm only seeing the ringtone volume change on exit.

I decided to try an app called Volume Locker (id=com.hourdb.volumelocker) and with some tweaking, it will promptly revert SimCity Build-It's volume changes.

I hadn't played since around August. Every time there is an update, it fails to install properly and requires some manual tweaking. Specifically, the update has an issue with a symbolic link to an app-lib directory. But, I figured I could use some time sink for the holidays. So I just recently updated, and noticed my volumes went wonky.

I have a Note3 running Jellybean and SimCity BI. I was wondering why I turn on my phone & and the sound is off again. I have SimCity sound turned off. Thanks. I am going back to turn it up.

I have an Experia z3. When simcity is in memory off the Phone, there is no incoming ringsound. This way I miss phonecalls. I have removed simcity and now the Phone works correct. Its a shame, the game is fun.
