Sluggish Performance on Nexus 7, games specifically

With my Nexus 7, when I play games it gets unresponsive, usually during the game which is very annoying. Then it carries over to the rest of the table i.e. scrolling is unresponsive, tap an app and doesn't respond. Best way I can explain it, is it "sticks". Usually re-starting will clear it up but shouldn't have to do that. I've had it for a couple months, started doing this the past month. I have a lot of space avaible, 10 gb of a 16 gb model.

Any thoughts? Anyone having a similar problem?

lots of people have had issues with the n7's responsiveness. some say it's low space. whatever, I had major lag and it was with more than 10GB remaining. Once I reset my N7, it's been like greased lightning.

Sounds like the 'unresponsive touchscreen' issue which you can find threads on. Happens to me too. Quickly switching the screen off and on will clear it. From what I can make out, no-one is too clear on whether it's a hardware or a software issue.
