This is the best phone I ever owned. My 5th Note phone. Share your tweaks here.

1. Change display content scaling to small and feel that HD display come to life.

2. Enable developer settings by going to settings, hit 'about phone' rapidly about 6 or 7 times, then go to settings, developer settings, and change the 3 animation settings from 1x to .5x to double the graphic speed of the phone (old trick, don't forget to do it).

3. Nova launcher. Enough said.

4. Tweak the edge panel for internet favorites.

What else.... hmmmmm..........

wow- so much better with content scaling set to small. Thanks

How about the notification led, I want to use it but i don't want it to be on when the phone is charging. Right now it's solid red when charging , I downloaded light manager and the app won't work unless the setting for led light is on in settings.

Anyone else have stuff to add?

Going to be setting up my note 7 today to transfer from iPhone, definitely going to apply these to get the most out of it

I did the all in one gesture app to switch the buttons, so left is back and right is app switcher. I am used to a smaller phone, hold it in my left hand, so made a huge difference for me.

Thanks for the display content setting tip. I had it on large cause my eyes ain't what they used to be but the screen does look so much better w it set to small.

I turn auto sync off, i don't need them to sync because i check them several times a shift, and any really time sensitive info comes in other ways.

I am happy its finally here, the battery has been great even though i dont pay much attention the first few days. Almost a week now and it gets me through a 12 hour shift with at least 50 percent left .

I do have the blue filter set from sunset to sunrise, since i work nights it comes in handy.

Still waiting on the otterbox defender to be released!!

If you pinch out with 2 fingers in the gallery app, it will change grid sizes to your liking.

Just got my new Note 7 a few days ago, but I wanted to share this tip. One of the things I hated about the Note 5 was the Power Saving mode. While it certainly did the job and saved a lot of battery when enabled, I hated the fact that it limited the CPU performance and it wouldn't allow me to customize which apps to limit the background data sync with.

Low and behold, the Note 7 allows me to customize which aspects of Power Saving to limit!! Now, I can save a little battery life by adjusting only the items I want. :) Thanks Samsung!!

How? I did like on iphones I could limit what apps had access to data etc. It may be disable in Verizon variants though.

Tap on the Power Saving icon within Quick Settings and then choose More Settings. You will then see a list of items to control along with the apps you want to put to sleep. ;)

Thanks, but I found what I was looking for. It's in the data section of settings. You can click on the app and select restrict background data. I selected fb, instagram and weather channel. They are my biggest data hogs.

I'm not able to get developer settings on Verizon. What's the fastest way to disable all bloat ware?
