So, I exchanged my Nexus...

I like how you think because people on this forum like to voice their complaints about issues with the Nexus mean every one in America who bought one got a bad egg. Also, as far as people investing themselves too much in their phone, you're the one in a NEXUS forum touting how much better the Rezound is.

It shouldn't be overlooked that he seems to think the Rezound is bug free.

I dont doubt it. A lot of people were looking forward to this phone, including me. That would explain why so many people are pissed off about it's problems. I am sure next time they will know better than to assume that a phone will have decent reception just because it is a Google phone. They will do their homework next time.
It is in the thread title. That would have been my first clue.

Read where? LOL

Has someone started a huge thread/poll in the Rezound forum where people are complaining about switching between 3G and 4G on the Rezound?

Neither is that of the GN from what I have been reading.

Apparently Google is now as well, lol.

I do not recall anyone complaining about reception on the Nexus 1.
That isn't my problem.
I agree with this. I go out of my way to emphasize both of these to anyone considering a Rezound. I am not a fan of any Vendor UI, including sense.
Could've fooled me considering what appears to be a blind allegiance to HTC.
I am still waiting for an example of a bug. So far you have not provided any. All you did was complain about battery life and the Sense skin. (You might not like Sense, but it doesn't have any bugs)
Well then continue to wait. Because you have ignored the problems which have been mentioned already.

Yes, I am total denial about all of the dozens of bugs you listed in your post.

Oh....wait a minute...
Whatever you say. You are clearly an HTC fanboy. When I or anyone else has mentioned bugs or flaws with the Rezound, or HTC, you have either ignored them, or glossed over them.

Here is the bottom line Jeff. The vast majority of people are not having the problems with the Nexus that you seem to claim. That by no means doesn't mean the phone is bug free, or problem free. What that does mean is the problems are not as significant as you seem to believe, nor do the problems make the phone "unusuable."

The ratio is probably pretty high if this forum is any indication.

Lol that's a pretty large assumption. Verizon had 94.1 Million wireless customers at the end of 2010, pretty sure these forums would not present a very large ratio for anything

Yet another fallacy. Heavier equals higher quality.

If you would read my post without the homer glasses you would see that i did not say heavier is better. I said some like that feel. I like my phone to be heavier rather than lighter. I did not say heavy phones = higher quality.

Me: I do not recall anyone complaining about reception on the Nexus 1.

Apparently it isnt the problem of any Nexus One users either.

LOL! This is the first HTC phone I have ever owned. I've been openly critical about Sense in previous posts on here. I referred to it as "pollution". Yes, that must make me an HTC fanboy heh heh.

Well then continue to wait. Because you have ignored the problems which have been mentioned already.
You mean all those dozens of bugs in the Rezound that you listed? I dont expect you to re-print the entire list (that could take hours to type), but could you just list the top ten for us?

LOL!

I think they represent a fair cross section of the Android community.

No one else mentioned Rezound Bugs...only you did.

You never actually listed any bugs. Not even one. You simply made the blanket assumption that "well, they must be there somewhere" LOL. I cant gloss over or ignore something that doesn't exist.

What that does mean is the problems are not as significant as you seem to believe, nor do the problems make the phone "unusuable."
That does not appear to be the opinion of the many GN users (and there are many of them) on this forum who are experiencing these problems.

People on here need to relax and stop investing their personal self worth into their phones. Its just a phone.

Do you really live by that mantra?

Doesn't seem like it. You don't even own the phone and yet you choose to carry on a discussion about how the nexus is so flawed.

Whats your purpose of going on and on...? I would have left this discussion a ways back....thats just me though.

I really do. I dont understand why people get so wound up about phone stuff.

I have opinions about a lot of things I dont own. And I was a prospective owner...the GN was my initial first choice for my upgrade.

It isnt flawed in every way. In this thread I was addressing the signal issues specifically. Signal strength was not the reason I personally passed on the GN, but it is something that I think a lot of GN users on here are too dismissive about.

Why do you care what my purpose is? My posts have been on topic, and I havnt been insulting anyone.

Im really kind of curious to know why Jeff is so completely upset over the the GN? I mean you dont own one, yet it seems you have made it your personal mission to troll on a forum about a phone that again YOU DO NOT OWN and totally bash the phone.

I could understand maybe one or two posts but seriously page after page? Pretty bizare IMO.
That would be like me going on the REZOUND forums and talking about all the flaws and bugs that I have heard about that phone, sutch as poor battery life, out of date OS, force close issues, etc. But I wont since I dont own that phone.

My point is ALL phones have issues and NO phone is completly 100% issue free never have been and never will be. The great thing is we have these forums here to help people either resolve these issues or help consumers decide what device is best for them by making an educated decision.

I for one must be one of the extremely lucky ones since I have had zero issues (other than battery life) and my brother-in-law has decided to return his REZOUND and grab a GN based on my experience vs. his.

m.

I am still waiting for an example of those "flaws" LOL

Not sure why you are trolling over here but NO phone is without issues. It took me just a few minutes to dig this up:

HTC Rezound headphone sound problems | HTC Rezound
HTC Rezound keeps on dropping the 4G
HTC Rezound Network-Related Bootlooping Problem Now Has a Fix | xda-developers
Owners of HTC Rezound having problems with interference when using headphones
http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-htc-rezound/148081-rezound-issues.html

BTW this is not to make excuses for the GNex, but just to illustrate that there is no such thing as the 'perfect' phone. Except for the low speaker volume, I have no issues with my GNex. Call quality has been great and I haven't dropped calls yet.

You appear to be one of the lucky ones then. The guy in Post #3 is not isolated from what I can tell on these forums.

I guess im one of the UNlucky ones I'm on my second GN and it still has the same problems random reboots(fixed with a ROM) the dropping phones calls is just plane driving me nuts....Now i just got to figure out what phone to get.

I think it is a mistake to dismiss these radio issues as trivial.

Which is what I just said...you are making a trade off. If having the latest is worth it for you, then usability/reliability can take a back seat.

If it is a choice between that or having a phone with basic functions that work, I will take the latter. I am perfectly happy to let GN users beta test the software if they want to. I do think Google should make that clear in their advertising though. The GN is not "really" getting ICS first. They are getting the ICS beta first.

How about you leave the Nexus forum and stop crapping all over a phone you have no intention of ever using or buying?

Great speeds and not a single dropped call for my Gnex. Sorry u got a bum device.

Same here....no dropped calls, no signal issues, fast, ........I love this phone.

I'm on my second GN and it's better out of the box than the first. I still have a few little bugs, but the signal issues are gone and so far there have been no random reboots. Those were my biggest issues. I was able to resolve the signal issues with my first phone by flashing stock 4.0.2 on it. My replacement worked without having to resort to that. Just proves that there are good phones and bad phones. So it would be nice if those of you who got a good one right off the bat to stop bashing those who didn't and are unhappy about it.
