So, I exchanged my Nexus...

At the risk of being flamed i feel i must chime in. I currently own a Galaxy Nexus, which I exchanged a Droid RAZR for on Dec 15. After owning the RAZR for ten days I thought the phone had to many bugs to justify its price. Now that I have owned the GN for three weeks I wish I would have stuck with the RAZR. While the GN is more pleasing to my eyes, the RAZR is a more stable phone.

As the owner of a Samsung Galaxy Nexus I do not recomend anyone buy one. If they fix the radio and the flipin auto correct I will change my stance.

If it is a choice between that or having a phone with basic functions that work, I will take the latter. I am perfectly happy to let GN users beta test the software if they want to. I do think Google should make that clear in their advertising though. The GN is not "really" getting ICS first. They are getting the ICS beta first.

Whether intentional or not, your posts in this thread are coming off as subtly antagonistic/snide. This is why you are getting these types of reactions from other members. I'm going to ask that you stop posting in this thread now to prevent its closure.

Think of it like this. If you post in a Nexus forum that the phone sucks. But have poor reasons as to why and your response to everything is that it sucks, you are not engaging in a productive conversation. Which makes you a troll. Trolls are frowned upon and un wanted. Hence, why you have been asked to stop posting.

So denver doesn't like the Nexus. That's cool. He just doesn't need to go on and on with umpteen responses bashing it when he doesn't even have one. I don't get it. Even going on to give a smartelic response to a mod asking him to back off.

Referred to this forum post before taking my first nexus in for an exchange. Told them I uninstalled apps and hard reset already and they gave me no hassle in exchanging my nexus out for a new one. Now I have no reset problems and everything is smooth, the slight stutter on the app drawer and browser are gone. Loving it. I did find that swipepad tends to make it stutter ever so slightly. Anyone know of a similar app that doesn't cause the lag?

I haven't really noticed the stutter. Do you use any type of virus software that is constantly running in the background?

Lol GN owners; take heart like most of you said at least you won't have to worry about them outdating your phones after a few months.
I had a Gn and went to the Razr. The bright side of all this is that u won't
have to waste an upgrade or spend almost 700.00 for an extended batt...
Lol
I didn't want to take the chance of the issues being fixed on the GN and the Razr holds on to calls better. There were a lot of things I did like about the GN

Clearly there are some bad batches of phones out there because I have absolutely NO issues whatsoever. I mean none. In fact now that I've had the phone 6 days shy of a month, it is getting better by the day. I think this phone honestly just needed to be "broken in" for lack of a better term.

So your volume is loud, ringer, vibration, etc.?

And to everyone else is there really any giant differences between the Rezound and nexus? I had a nexus for a few weeks so I can speak lol. Ics is awesome but I don't see it as this huge game changer ppl make it out to be. Rezound will eventually get it, I can wait a few months. I'm not sitting here now saying "oh no I can't live with out I must get my gnex" back. Ppl keep saying that the gnex is a great phone cause it will have support for a long time. Why won't the Rezound? It has better specs, the Rezound should be one of the best phones on vzw for a long time. I modestly think the Rezound is more popular, I use to work for vzw and some of my buddies still do. They are telling me that the Rezound is a very hot phone, no pun intended. And not many ppl are actually even asking about the nexus. I've called several stores and my local call center too, the nexus is not even close to being back ordered around here, so I don't know where ppl can't get a nexus at a vzw store? For the modders who say the nexus has more developer support, who cares? I went over to xda, to the nexus forum, they have 20 plus roms and they are all too similar, you have a hundred diff developers making the same things, so of course when you go to that page any gnex user will be amazed at first. But once you start comparing each one they sound all the same. And won't the Rezound be getting full ics roms down the line? I heard it's impossible to put sense on any phone?

Having some pretty weird stuff happen with calls. Going to flash the leaked radios again and see if I experience the same problems. I was stupid and didn't really test with the new radios.

You shouldn't need to root and flash a new radio to fix call issues or data problems, the phone should work out of the box. I love the nexus, I had one but ppl, not you, treat this phone like its the LeBron James of the phone world. CricKet could announce a nexus phone and ppl would leave Verizon for it. It would be like a 700mhz phone, 8gb non removable sdcard, etc. And ppl would still make excuses on why it's so great.

When I say no issues, I mean no issues. I don't say that just to say it. Of course the things you are talking about are subjective to the user.

Loud is loud. I'll clarify, do you feel that your Gnex was/is as loud as your last phone? Does it vibrate as good too?

Seems as if you dodged his questions. Subjective or not, you should answer honestly as it helps others out.

Huh? Shouldn't have to flash new radios? The radios are officially coming to the phone anyway. If anything it's better to flash them if you are having issues so you know if they will fix the issues. I haven't flashed them because I don't have call or reception issues.

How did I dodge it? Can people honestly not read anymore?

This had to be moderated because I broke the rules.
