so since all carriers are accepting the return of the note 7 Is the V20 the clear choice?

I expect I will need to shut it off to preserve battery life. I assume there is a way to shut it off?
If it's like what I've read on the V10, yes you can turn it off, but it also sucks so little power that it won't really be noticeable.

I'm sure it works very similar to the V10. On the V10 it could be turned off whenever and I think it could be put on a schedule but I can't remember for sure.

And I agree, it uses very little power.

Well it is already known as a battery hog so you save juice wherever you can.

V10 and early reports say the v20 as well. I cannot post links but have read it somewhere in the forums

Early reports are preproduction units so don't mean much. On my V10, most days I had 5+ hours SOT with 15 hours uptime and had several days over 6 hours SOT.

With an improved and more efficient SoC and a slightly larger battery, I fully expect similar or better results.

That doesn't sound too shabby to me!

I am so excited for the v20

Someone should come up with a standard setup to measure battery life like 3 email addresses set up to push and maybe 30 of the most popular apps. Then phone is used constantly until battery dead. One test with a certain game. One streaming video with 5 bars lte then 2 bars lte (use the numbers. maybe - 70 and - 105). Every new phone gets exactly the same test. Now give us the battery life. It must be standardized. It is so important yet usually neglected in reviews.

Have you checked out GSM Arena's battery test? Click on tools at the top of the page.

Yeah. People expecting a positive battery surprise will likely be disappointed. On the flip side it has a replaceable battery so you can go from 0 to 100 a lot faster than any quick charging.
