Sprint: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I am not eligible to upgrade until October. Do you think they will let me upgrade early without having to pay off the lease?

All you have to do is tell them that you would go to T-Mobile or any other company if they don't allow you to soon as you let them know that they automatically let you upgrade that's what I've been doing for years and it works I love the Galaxy no line and I'm going from a Galaxy s8plus to the note me as an artist I love to draw so it's not a question in my mind to upgrade early without paying any fees let me know how it goes

Re: Sprints play on the Note 8

all it says is that the offer is through Samsung and not Sprint. I see Sprint offering very little to those of us who dealt with the N7 debacle through them. and it was horrible the way they treated customers in the moment.

I listened to my sprint rep tell me it was Sammys fault about 10 times before i told him flat out that it wasnt Sammys fault he didnt know his job and to stop being rude to a paying customer. Yes Sammy messed up. Yes it wasnt my carriers fault, but to not know what you are doing, or how you are doing it.. is your own fault. I was an easy customer.. i dropped off my note 7 but needed a sim for my 3rd party note 5.. 4 best buy trips later.. "oh we found your sim".... both reps were mad that it didnt have a sim. Heaven forbid.

I posted a new thread on this, so I apologize for the redundancy. I figured some one in this thread might know the answer, though:

Quick question here:

If I order the unlocked Note 8, will I be unable to use Wifi-calling and VOLTE (both are called calling plus now)?

Alternatively, If I get the Sprint version, can it be unlocked and used elsewhere?

Also, is the general consensus that the carrier versions will get updates a bit faster?

Thanks!

Paid off my v20 a couple days ago but it wont let me update with the 18 month, 200 dollars off lease upgrade, just full price. All my other lines are eligible. Why do they hate me? ;_;

Anyways, I ended up calling and I get a $10 loyalty credit so not quite the deal, but still 180 bucks discount. Anyways, shipping says 9/5 and delivery within 1 to 3 days. Looking through the other carrier websites, everyone has 9/5 or 9/4 for ship date. So are they sending these out a week before release? Because that sounds perfect to me

I ordered online from sprint and they didn't charge me the full sales tax like they always do just shipping

If you check the other carriers threads, they're all being told it'll ship 9/5 or 9/4

Well Verizons always been pretty ****ty with pre-orders. Pretty sure they were the only ones still waiting for their Note 7 deliveries when everyone else had already gotten them

I got my note 7 on release day when I preordered it. So mine wasn't late. Can't speak for others tho.

Planning on pre ordering this week. Not sure if i'm gonna go through sprint or best buy. I think it's still on file my last phone was note 2, so might get loyalty offer. I've gotten it offered on the last couple samsung flagships.

I did the math and BB appears to be cheaper as a continuing user when compared to sprint's options - outright buy and lease. I broke it down to include tax, and activation and upgrade fee (not waived at BB) and still could save +/- $90.00 through BB.

I called Sprint and was told that I qualify for the $20 a month for the Note 8. I went to Best Buy and they offered me $150 off the phone plus I can trade in my LG V20 and get $336 for it from Samsung. That brings the price of the phone down to $474. I am sure after taxes I will be paying close to $550. I think I like the Best Buy deal better.
