Sprint: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Just ordered mine! I was going to wait until the note 9 because I was forced to buy this s7 edge after the note 7 debacle and still owed $400! for the last 3 days I've logged on to the sprint website and tried to purchase the note 8 but they kept saying I had to pay off my s7 edge in which I would just log back out of the website with frustration. Well this evening much to my delight I went on the and they must've been monitoring my web activity or something because they allowed me to do an early upgrade and return my s7 edge (that was not a lease) and I won't have to pay the remaining balance! and I got to lease the note 8 on galaxy forever for $40.00 a month! It's a great day!

Carefull sprint is notorious for this wait for your first bill

well I've had this happen before actually when I went from the note 5 to the note 7. They added the balance of the note 5 to my bill when I received the note 7 but then took it off once they received the note 5 back.

Asked why wouldn't you give us previous note owners the same plan as a new customer with the $20 credit on our payments or give the rebate likes Samsung did. Here is my issue N7 were defective. Carrier sells defective product. Carrier forces you to get substandard product. Carrier and manufacturer come up with no recourse for customer. Then they expect you to pay a higher rate ($40) a month to resolve the issue even when the manufacturer discounts the rate ($425). Something stinks here.

I agree we should get some credits or something, but I was happy to just get the early upgrade and not have to pay the balance on a phone I never originally wanted.

I didn't pay a phone bill for 5 months after the recall, thanks for the credits Sprint, there was so much confusion of what was going on credits keep showing up and I wasn't honest enough to complain about it, but sprint did sell me another $1k phone iPhone 7+256g and I also no longer have that phone, this cost me so much

Go to Samsung they are given 425 in credit if you have the note 7 Before but you have to return the s7 Edge and you can qualify for monthly payments of 22

Ok, got off the phone with sprint. Only way i can get $20 a month on note 8 is changing plans and adding 2nd line. Nope. Best buy it is for me. Which kinda sucks 'cause i'll have to pay activation fee. I have credit union discount on sprint which gets them to wave it if i go through them. How i buy note 8 through best buy and keep my plan? What i gotta shell out to pre order? Can i do this online?

I was able to keep my plan with Sprint through their pre-order interface on BB. I had to pay tax up front on the installment agreement I chose and that's it. I saved, depending on activation/upgrade fees approx. $90-$120 over Sprint. left in the cold again by Sprint.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but has anyone who pre-ordered checked their order status today? I have a tracking number so hopefully (I wont hold my breath) this means we should be seeing our phones soon.

After seeing so many display units in store and at the Samsung Experience here in NYC, it wouldn't surprise me if they shipped early. There seem to be enough units available. Some Vloggers have had them since they were announced. And I'm also seeing ppl in the T-Mobile forums stating that they are getting notifications indicating that their phones are being prepared to be shipped.

I wouldn't sweat it. When I look up the tracking number all I get is...

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

thanks, pre ordered my note 8 this morning on best buy website.

quick question. do you have a costco membership. depending on how you want your money back, they end up cheaper than costco with a $175 gift card on payment of device (when it comes in) and an accessories pack. you have to go in to order and pickup, which is a pain, but it saves some additional. I cancelled my BB order after pre-ordering at costco. sam's club has a similar offer but you get $200 gift card. I am so far from them and no membership so deal isn't good for me.

I ordered on 8/24 as soon as pre orders started . Mine still says shipping 9/5 but I ordered Black, noticed your order was for the Orchid Grey.
