i can get to menu but what is the select button?
nothing engages it to load update.zip even tho it is shown on menu

Use the volume rockers to highlight Apply SDcard: Update.Zip and then press the Home key. The upgrade will then start.

I am at the start download window right now. The status bar is at 100%. Did anything happen or do you have to manually reset your phone

i am trying to do the manual method but received error in sdcard/update.zip (STATUS 7) installation adborted. my epic unrooted and I flashed itusing ODIN to DK18. please help

woa....not good here....

stock epic, only rooted....

ran the manual update and after the unzip took and the phone restarted it's been dragging.... had a black screen for about 30 sec, but it finally came back....

but the colors look all off....and i'm getting constant force close errors....

going to reboot a few more times...

can't even get to the settings or launch any apps....

sux....guess i have to wipe out and then apply update again.

Yes the Windows installer method will wipe your phone.

I have the DI 18 but also had the one click root installed. Now I get a playlogo error system 7? anyone know how to fix this error? Or would a complete data wipe fix the issue?

FYI: Tried updating by placing update.zip on sd card. Rebooted in stock boot recovery and couldn't select anything. Did multiple battery pulls and it kept bringing me back to the boot recovery screen which I cannot do anything with.

I'm flashing back to eclair with Odin. WTF.
