Finally got my 256 gig aura glow ordered. Unfortunately I'll be in Tennessee the week the phone will ship. Who knows maybe it will show up the Friday before release.

Been doing this now...since I am JOD...for past 3 years with every Note and Splus that comes out. We wont get them until most likely the Wednesday before...a small handful might get them tuesday......we will start to see charges the Friday before....then won't ship usually until that Monday or Tuesday prior. That's just past history. Four years ago some folks got them almost 2 weeks early...but that hasn't happened in quite some time. So now we wait. Most likely the 21st. Ho hum.

Yeah, if it's like the last few releases, next Friday is when to start looking for tracking numbers from the UPS app, and Monday is when to start freaking out.

True. As long as you pre order. There is always incentives to pre order...usually ear buds or a camera or something....this time...$150 Samsung GC.

They better have fixed the proximity sensor. I hate how the S10+ would be in my pocket while I playing music and the song would skip to the next track cause the screen turned on.

Yes. I always use JOD and have gotten all of the preorder gifts. This time the rep even specifically reminded me to register for it.

What screen protector would you get if one isn't pre-installed? I use a Spigen Neoflex for my S series phones. For the Note series though, the pen causes permanent depressions in those TPU screen protectors and so I get tempered glass. This is the first time that isn't an option due to the in-screen FPS. Yes, I know Whitestone Dome will work but that's a bit over the top for me.

The pre-installed protector like on the S10+ would have been great since it's thin and won't get marked up by the pen. Any third party protectors that are like this? Most that I find on Amazon are TPU.

I found wet application screen protectors to work best with curved screens, but there is the annoyance of temporary indentations when using a stylus. I haven't bothered with glass screen protectors on a curved screen because they seem to have so many problems except the Whitestone as you mentioned, and I also refuse to pay that much for a screen protector. I'm just hoping one is preinstalled like the s10+.

With the current down payment for me it's cheaper to jump to the cheapest phone they offer pay it off then switch to Verizon where they offer zero down.

The best method to get out of JOD! is to jump to a phone that requires no down payment, then return the phone within the 14 day return window and you won't have to pay anything off.
