Tempered Glass Screen Protectors

Yeah I might just have to loosen the purse strings and go for it. Just worried about how to remove it if it breaks

I'd like to see a good review on it and also, how easy it is to remove.

I am using the zagg curved tempered glass. With the exception of how smudged it gets its been pretty good.

Removed my GPEL. Not sure if it's oleophobic coating or whatever that keeps fingerprints at bay, but the phone was unusable in day light. Just foggy and fingerprint smears all over. :( Avoid!

Sadly, I think the solution for tempered glass screen protectors on curved screens is going to have to wait until Apple "invents" a curved screen phone.

We've been going through this for years with different manufacturer's curved screens and we really haven't seen any consistency or reliability in anyone making a good glass screen protector for them.

At this point I'm going to keep checking in here, but assume we'll find nothing until there's a curved screen iPhone.

I hope I'm wrong :(

Got the GPel on this morning. Not totally satisfied. Swiping down the notification bar takes several attempts. Some random spots on the phone require harder presses. It went on easy, feels nice to the touch, works with Neo Hybrid Case, and looks nice. I'll be keeping it on for the time being until a 100% flawless and proven TGSP emerges. That or I'll go with a film if the sensitivity becomes intolerable.

I gave up on mine. Corners were difficult to press as well as the home button.

Does any tempered glass screen protector have adhesive across the entire glass, or are they all doing adhesive on the edges?

Looks like manufacturers are sticking to adhesive along the edges only for tempered glass. There are other full adhesive options, but not tempered glass.

And a quick update from my previous post on the other page, it appears the Rhinishield tempered glass cases are NOT full adhesive. Apparently the customer service reps were confused, as they said it was during email and chat correspondence with multiple people.

Very cool process where the adhesive is "hardened" using a UV machine (UV LED lamp is included in the package)

Seems like removal isn't that difficult, as their YouTube page has clips of it being removed by hand on past model phones.

Too bad there aren't Whitestone mall kiosks like Zagg has. Would totally pay for this to be professionally installed haha.

I bought the ICHECKEY glass protector from Amazon and it fits only without the case and works vey well. I am going to get leather wallet type and call it a day

I got one friday from Verizon. Its already popped off so many times. That I didn't bother to put it back on.

My Wife has the same one and she keeps getting her hair caught up in it.

I have the regular S8, an Incipio case, and have always used Gadget Guard Tempered Glass Screen Protectors for all of my smartphones. I have always loved them. This is my first Samsung, after coming over from LGs, and Verizon still recommended that I use these. But since putting it on, the touch-sensitivity to my screen has gone down remarkably. Simple things like texting, scrolling, or even just touching apps to activate them are becoming an issue. I went back into Verizon yesterday and even the Assistant Manager who was helping me by scrolling through my phone was becoming annoyed. She did some research to find out that the S8s do not have an option at this time to calibrate it to your touch after a screen protector has been installed.

Has anyone found a way around this or found a protector that this is not an issue with? I don't like the idea of leaving my phone naked on top, but I'm starting not to see many other options.
