Guess I'm finally going to use my upgrade and go on to the Evo 4g LTE. Thanks a lot Kraven, learned a lot with this phone and will miss your development a lot. You made it a good run. :'(

Yeah, and this was also a contributing reason. it's the exact same ROM on a different site, posted by AC USER CAMMYKOOL. HE DOES NOT CREDIT KRAVEN OR RELINK TO THIS SITE. THAT IS THEFT.

[ROM]Cold as Ice for Optimus V [UPDATED A10F+NEW KEYFIX]

Well it looks like Cold As Ice is working on Optimus V. I take no credit for figuring any of this out, or even being a DEV. I just like using ROMs. So here's the steps you need to take to get Cold As Ice working on the Optimus V! Cold as Ice is a Optimus S rom that required no changed to run on the V besides the keyswap.

Boot into recovery.
Make a backup.
Clear Data, Cache & Dalvik Cache.

Install the Cold As Ice zip...

Flash Gapps

(DO THIS) Reboot your phone, it will take a while to start up.

Once it starts up you'll notice a few things are still messed up so reboot back into recovery.

OV fix for all sprint branding and MMS *INCLUDES KEYFIX* -
Free Cloud Storage - MediaFire
Now boot up again and enjoy

Note: I don't know anything about building ROMs so I may not be the right person to ask, just posting this to help out!

what works as of now that doesnt work on quattrimus:
Native USB
PNGS updated so the entire rom looks better and not so choppy
mic works on apps oither then Phone
MMS half works (you can send not receive PMed jerry about it)
the backing up of apps works so when you log into your account your apps automatically start downloading (disable this during setup if not wanted)
3G is no longer choppy will stay locked in permentilly (unless on WI-FI)
may or may not work with jerrys recovery (needs testers!)

This is vary sad that people can't just wait and not harass the developer and how do you steal someones work especially when they put as much work in as thekraven I hope he one days comes back to developing rooms and stuff but if not I would understand.

I don't even own this phone and I'm sad. Thekraven put up with folks posting his work without permission long enough. This actually started when johnny posted a link to a test build and escalated from there. Never really was the same as people wanted to post mirror links on their sites and what not. Sorry to the ones who played by the "rules" here and now don't have ICS development any longer. Maybe he'll buy an optimus elite and build roms for it..LOL I could be so lucky! Thanks thekraven for ALL the HARD work and hours that MOST AC members never took for granted.:'(

No, thekraven asked for no mirrors and no reposts. This is THE reason he quit and PMed his testers before he informed AC.

My fellow optimus v users are getting pretty good at using other peoples work without permission. I hate seeing anybody who ports or links have donate buttons. Some of the best devs we have don't even have donate buttons. But these guys doing half ass ports of other peoples work, some times don't even have permission, will throw a donate button. You can see how much integrity translates to quality work. This sucks that leeches chased off one of your best devs. This used to be the place for quality work. For a while it was a very respectable forum, then everybody abandoned xda and swarmed android central and its been a lot of disrespect low quality work, with the exception of a few real devs. I have been using the kravens builds on my OV here and there for over a year now, but I cringed when his cai rom got linked on our forums. It just causes confusion and unnecessary bug reports, on his OS threads. Its long tedious work building roms, then you add pages of stupid questions, and top it off with someone posting links and not giving proper credit. These devs do this as a kind gesture, the ones who take donations, I'm sure make pennies per hour for their work, if that. Show them respect and gratitude. They don't need to do this, and lack of respect will keep chasing them off. Sorry my rants over now.

There was a mirror on MediaFire.
It was reposted on numerous other sites, VMRoms, Android Forums and those posts have direct links to the files, not just a link to this forum thread.

That is total disrespect for thekraven and Android Central.

It seems users support CammyCool more than thekraven.
